Ayobami's POV;
I limp into the cell, with the plate of food, and the jug of water, and the guard calls after me, before shutting the door.
"Remember, don't stay too long. "
I nod, and stand still for a second, with my eyes shut. My body hurts all over. My breasts, between my legs, and everywhere else.
The current state of my body reminds me of that night when Muyiwa stole my virginity from me. I was sore all over. Physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Now my body hurts, but that's fine. It might take me a few days to recover from what this man did to me, but that's fine.
It's all fine. It's for a good cause.
I want to help the princess and save her prince.I turn to look at the prince, and my heart falls on seeing him. He's badly wounded, and weak.
He's either, currently fast asleep, or too weak to open his eyes. The room is dark, and the only form of light, here, is the moonlight from the small rectangular window, up in the wall.
I place the food and water on the floor, and with the key the guard gave me, I help lose the prince's chains. He opens his eyes weakly and looks at me.
"Who are you? "His rough, tired voice questions and I have to move away because of how bad his breath is. He hasn't cleaned his mouth, nor body, in days. He's in dad shape.
I set him gently on the floor, and he just stares at me.
"Did Muyiwa send you here? "He questions and I look up at him in wonder.
"Do you really think Muyiwa is that kind? "I question, and he falls silent, and shuts his eyes. Taking deep breaths in an attempt to gain strength.
"The princess sent me here. I had to sneak to bring you food. "I say, and his eyes fly open. A twinkle that wasn't in them earlier, takes over his eyes, and my heart melts at the joy on his battered, bloodstained face.
"The princess... How is she? Did that bastard hurt her? Is she fine? "He questions and I inhale deeply as I open the warm plate of food.
The plate contains *Gbegiri, and *Amala.*Gbegiri is a soup made out of beans(Black Eyed peas) and *Amala is of dried yam flour.
"Physically, the princess is fine... But emotionally, she's a mess. She needs you. Now, more than ever. "I reply as I wash my hands with water from the jug, and the prince falls silent.
I take a scoop of the Amala, deep it in the soup, and take it up to the prince's mouth. He looks at me for a second, before parting his lips.
I gently push the food off my fingers, into his mouth, and he sighs in satisfaction as he rolls the food about in his mouth. I must admit. He is a very good-looking, young man. He seems to be about the same age as the king.
He's so good-looking that even in the partial darkness of this cell, I can still see his perfection.
"How did you get in here? "He questions, after swallowing, and I take another scoop.
"That's not for you to worry about, prince. I'm a woman. We can do some things that men can't. "I reply, before taking the second scoop up to his mouth, and he takes it.
"When is the wedding? "He questions, after swallowing, and I pour water into the plates cover, and take it up to his mouth.
"The date hasn't been decided yet. "I inform, as he drinks from the cover, and he nods as he pushes it away.
Silence falls upon us, and I keep feeding him. He washes his hands, and battles with the piece of meat on the food, on his own, while I watch. When he's done, he cleans his hands, and I leave him for a few minutes, so the food can digest, and he can relax.
