Adebiyi's POV;
" Your highness, this shameless old man was not only caught trying to assault an innocent girl, but he was also caught with an Ìginla charm. "I say to my father to the hearing of the whole courtroom, and gasps erupt in the room.
"What!? "My father questions with shocked eyes of disbelief, and I nod.
"Bring in the charm! "I order, and some of my guards exit the room, and soon enough they come back in with the charm that we found on the old man, on a tray.
My father stands in rage, and every other person in the room except my mother stands. An act of respect to the king.
"Abiodun, what is this I'm hearing!? How dare you!? In my palace!? "My father screams at the chief, and I fold my hands behind me as I stare at the disgrace of a man standing before me.
"Your highness... "He makes to speak, but my father shuts him up.
"Silence! How dare you interrupt me when I'm speaking!? "He screams, and the chief bows his head.
"I gave you room to speak, and you made no good use of it! "He adds, and silence falls on the room again.
"With all, I've heard, and what I've seen, I have come to the conclusion that you are a disgrace to the chieftain title, and with that, I have decided to support my son's verdict.
It is now official. You are no longer a chief in this kingdom.
You, and your family, are expected to evacuate the chief's area before the end of this week. "My father says, and I smile internally in triumphant joy.
"Your Majesty... "He makes to speak, but my father cuts him off again.
"Silence! You are lucky I didn't banish you and your family for what you have done! "My father yells at him, and the room vibrates at the impact of my father's might.
"Take him out of my sight! "My father orders and guards come to usher chief... Sorry, ex-chief Abiodun out of the room.
I watch him give a death glare to Ajinke, and I narrow my eyes as she looks away. If he tries to harm a single hair on her head, I'd chop off his hands.
My father walks back to his throne and takes his seat, and everyone sits back down.
"I'm genuinely sorry for his misbehavior. It's a shame to say he was one of my chiefs, but now that that's fixed, I can only hope you hold no grudges. "My father says to Ajinke, and I study the young lady before us carefully.
"No, your majesty. All is well. I'm glad I was saved. I guess it was all the goddess's plan. "She replies, and I almost smile at the humility in her aura.
"Dear, I'm truly sorry I wasn't around to help you. But the prince was present, and he did me proud.
Whenever you encounter any issues, do make sure to come to me, I'd be more than happy to help. It's the least I can do. "My mother says to Ajinke, and she nods.
"Yes, your highness. "Ajinke replies with a bowed head, and a small smile splits my face.
She is so simple and modest.
"You may leave. And if that man dares to bother you, let me know. "My father says, and Ajinke bows before leaving.
"Yes, your highness. "She replies.
I study her closely as she walks out of the room. Her small waist rolling effortlessly with every step, and her smooth, chocolate skin shining under the light.
She didn't dress up as I had expected. If I had told any other girl that she had gotten the position of my personal maid, she'd have tried to look her best and would be all over me.
But Ajinke is still in her normal clothes and is acting as usual. I don't think she understands the intensity of her new job, or what it means.
Once out of the courtroom, and in my bedroom, I call for a maid.
"Go to the maid's quarters, and get Ajinke dressed as she should be, and sent to me. " I say to one of my mother's maids, and she gives me a confused look.
"She's my personal maid. Go and get her ready and sent to me. "I order, and she nods and bows before exiting the room.
It's rude to be before the royal family, looking unkempt. Talk more of when you're going to be dealing one personal levels with one of them.
Personal maids in the palace have ways of dressing. My mom has her personal maid, my dad has his, and many girls have been battling to be mine, but I've made my choice.
Ajinke will be my personal maid, and I want her dressed and looking her position.
Her job begins today. I've given her enough days to heal and absorb the news of her new position.
Now I want her working by and for me. I have plans for her today...
