Wait For Me | Book Two of "Trust Me"

21- 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘢𝘭𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘺𝘴

Even after Karl explained it to me five times, I couldn't comprehend the words that had come out of his mouth. Cara, my Cara, is dead. But the Cara I met at the village, the one that claimed to know me, is an imposter. She used my vulnerability around her against me. She wanted me to trust her, and for what?

"What could she possibly want from me? From us?" I asked, frustrated. By now Karl, Dream, and Eret were in the room. This situation can't get any more confusing.

"I'm not sure, that's why we must make a choice. We can negotiate with her, if possible...or we can cut her down." Karl explained.

"Cut her down?! You mean to tell me we need to murder her?" I sat up from the bed I lied on.

"It's an option, or I can try and send her back to the timeline in which she came from." Karl sighed.

"Is that possible?" Eret asked. Dream gave him a glare. I can't even stand to look at him right now.

"It is, but there's a catch." Karl said, placing his palm on his forehead. "I would have to go back with her."

All options seem rather dangerous. The safest one would be to negotiate with her, but what if she demands something I simply cannot give? Will she lash out in anger? The last thing I want to do is murder her in cold blood, but what if she leaves me no choice in the matter?

"Then it's easily settled, I'll negotiate with her. I'll see what she wants." I say, standing up from the bed.

"I'm coming with you." Eret demanded.

"No, you're not. I'll go with her." Dream detested, getting close to Eret. It wasn't that intimidating though, since Eret is taller.

"Neither of you are coming with me. I'm going alone." I ordered.

"Are you crazy? You're going to get yourself killed!" Dream raised his voice.

"She's just one person, she's not indestructible. I can handle her!" I yelled. Dream walked out of the room, slamming the door behind him in anger.

Although I said that, I'm not sure that's true. I haven't been able to control her since I met her. How the hell am I going to tell her that she needs to go back to her realm, or we'll murder her? I don't think she would take it too well. She didn't come here for no reason, she came here to get away from her other timeline. The question is, how? Unless she is a time traveler like Karl, she would've needed assistance from another time traveler to get to this timeline. I'm going to get to the bottom of this. I will make things the way they were, the way they're supposed to be,

No matter what.

"So what? You're going to have a 'nice little chat' with her? That's insane." Dream complains, hitting branches as we walk through the woods.

"Well, unless you have the intention of stopping me, which I doubt you would do after what you said, then I guess it's not that insane after all." I smirked. He's cute when he's angry.
The truth is, I know Dream and I can get past this, and I forgive him for all he's done. I'm a forgiving person. Besides, it's hard to hate the person you envision the rest of your life with. Each and every day I live makes me fall even more madly in love with him. I wish I could tell him all of this, but it's just not the right time. After all of this is over, no matter what happens, I will love Dream until death does us part.

"I'm going to wait for Cara in the village, all you have to do is keep an eye on us until Karl and Eret are ready to send her back where she came from." I explained. Dream nodded.
