A young woman knelt in front of the grave in the backyard of what remained of the Queen family home, seemingly speaking to whoever was buried beneath that headstone.

'Hey, Dad,' she said, 'turns out Oliver and Evelyn are more like you than I thought, more like me, too. But I'm not giving up. Not ever.' In front of her, the gravestone read: ROBERT QUEEN. 1958 - 2007. A leader, a husband, a father, and a pillar of our great city.

Several days later...

Dinah, Oliver and I (Evelyn) were walking through the crime scene of the newest building that the new Green Arrow had broken into.

'Game time, rookies,' Dinah remarked to the both of us. 'You ready?'

'It's not our first crime scene, Dinah,' Oliver shot back playfully.

'No, but it's your first one as SCPD deputies, so try not to screw it up, huh?' We both gave her a look. 'Kidding.' We looked out of the broken window, while Dinah spoke. 'The new Green Arrow has been dropping felons at my doorstep almost every night, but this is something different - A, B&E.' Oliver knelt to see the small bit of blood that had made its way onto a stray glass shard from the broken window.

'It doesn't look like it ended well,' Oliver remarked. Just then a woman yelled.

'Don't touch that!' One of the detectives came over and plucked the bloodied glass shard from the window with a pair of tweezers, placing them into a plastic bag. 'This is a crime scene, and at a crime scene, we follow proper procedure... a concept that is clearly alien to you two.'

'My apologies,' I replied, attempting to be polite, but it came out as vaguely sarcastic.

'I'll take that, please,' Dinah said, and the detective handed the plastic evidence bag to Dinah. The woman glared at us and then walked away.

'Bitch,' I mumbled under my breath.

'So not everyone is excited about our new partnership, I see,' Oliver said, lowering his voice.

'It's gonna take some time for them to get used to the Green Arrow and Athena wearing badges. But hey, this is the best lead we've had on finding out who's under that hood,' she said, showing us the evidence package.

'It shouldn't take too long to analyse the blood,' Oliver said.

'By not long, you mean at least a week. My crime lab is buried under mountains of evidence.'

'There's another option,' I chimed in. When she gave us a look, I spoke again. 'Dinah, why is the SCPD working with the Green Arrow and Athena if you are not going to use our resources? Please.' She sighed and handed us the package.

'Okay.'

'Thank you,' Oliver replied, and the two of us walked away from the crime scene.

Hours later...

The computer in front of Felicity beeped.

'DNA match - Oliver and Evelyn Queen,' the AI voice on the computer said. She stood up from her chair as the front door was opened, whooping in delight as the two of us walked in.

'DNA signature confirmed!' she shouted in delight. 'I knew you were here before you even walked in the door!' The two of us walked into the room. 'How's that?'

'That's good work,' Oliver replied.

'Thank you,' she said cheerfully. 'Aren't you a working man now? Shouldn't you two be at the SCPD?' she asked, looking between the two of us.
