Present-day.

Oliver stepped out of the baby's room, where Felicity and I were waiting.

'This is why we can't have a normal life,' she said. 'This is why our children will never have normal lives.'

'I had to make the deal,' he said, looking at both of us.

'Oh, there's always going to be some danger, or some threat - the League of Assassins or the Hive or the Ninth Circle or... the end of the friggin' universe,' Felicity replied, stepping up to him.

'I need you to make me a promise,' Oliver said. 'Both of you.' I looked up at him.

'Yeah. Okay,' I said with a sigh.

'No matter what happens to me - no matter what... you need to do everything in your power - you... you both need to keep William and Mia safe.'

'We'll keep them safe, brother,' I said, walking up to the two of them.

'But wherever you go...' Felicity replied, coming closer to him, 'whatever happens to you... you'll never leave me. On our wedding day, you told me that this was the best part of you. But the truth is...  we are the best parts of each other. And that is so much bigger than the friggin' universe.'

'When I came back to Star City, I didn't think that I was capable or deserving of love,' Oliver said. 'But you opened up my heart in ways that I never th-thought were possible. My only regret is not telling you that I loved you sooner.'

'No regrets,' she said softly.

'Would you tell Mia that I love her every day?' he asked, sniffling. 'And I know that she will grow up to be as smart and as beautiful as her mom.'

'I will find you again. I promise,' she said brokenly.

'I love you,' he said. 'I love you both.' He pulled me into a hug, and I sobbed onto his shoulder.

'Please don't go,' I mumbled into his shirt. 'Please don't go.' Then we pulled away.

'I love you so much,' Felicity said, and the two kissed passionately. I looked away with an awkward smile despite my tears. Then the two hugged. Then he turned and left, and I was the first to collapse to the floor with a loud cry, watching his retreating form. Felicity collapsed on her knees next to me, and I let out an earth-shattering scream of pain.

Felicity walked the empty road.

'I'm ready,' she called. Mar Novu walked up to her.

'Where I'm taking you, there is no return.'

'I have waited a very long time to see him,' she said. 'I'm ready.' In front of them, a bluish-grey portal opened, and Felicity and the Monitor stepped through.
