Evelyn Queen's POV

'You have a visitor.'

Those were the words that I heard before I was escorted into the same dimly lit visitation room that I had been in all those years ago when my brother Oliver and I visited Moira Queen, our mother. I sat on a bench, and John sat across from me. I smiled sadly at him.

'Hey, John,' I said softly.

'How are you, Evelyn?'

'Tired. I haven't slept in a good three days. A lot of the younger women - Iron Heights is a tougher place, so they get away with carrying switchblades. I got one pulled on me today.' I chuckled darkly. 'This bitch called me a whore and a murderer. She got solitary confinement, though. I can't even shower in peace anymore because they keep pointing out my scars. But enough about me. How are you?'

'We're trying to find a way to get you and Oliver out of jail. We haven't found anything yet to incriminate Diaz, but we're looking.' I smiled softly.

'How is Oliver?'

'He says hi. You look annoyed.'

'It's the justice system I'm annoyed with, John. They handled the situation with the Green Arrow and Athena so poorly. I mean, after everything we've done for them, they still treat us like shit.'

'I'm sorry. We are trying.'

'How's Felicity - and the kid, William?'

'They're good. Still in witness protection.' I nodded.

'Good. Oliver will lose his mind if they're not safe. Keep fighting the good fight, John. It'll all be okay someday.'

'Yeah. We'll get you guys out. The FBI said they might give you a shorter sentence than Oliver, on the account that you were an accomplice like the rest of us.'

'That's good.'

'Time's up,' the guard said, walking towards me. I turned to John as the guard put on my cuffs again.

'Take care of yourself, John.'

'You too, Evelyn.' And at that, he left the room and I was led back to my cell.

2040. On the waters of Lian Yu.

The boat rocked violently in the storm.

'We should turn around!' the old man yelled to the younger one. 'It's not safe!'

'But is it impossible?' the younger called out.

'No, not impossible, but it's not very smart.'

'Then how about I add another 100 grand to the $200,000 I already gave you?'

'Most people would pay that kind of money to stay away from here. This place must be very important to you.'

'It's not the place. It's the person I'm hoping to find there.'

The young man got out of the inflatable boat on the shores of Lian Yu.

'If you don't hear from me in a week, I'm not coming back,' the young man said.

'I hope you do. You know, you pay me a lot of money to do very stupid things.' The young man walked away, letting out a scoff underneath his breath.

'Always a pleasure.' He walked through the forest until he came upon a series of rock mounds overgrown with ivy, with small wooden markers on top of them. He knelt down, picking up one of them. On it in big letters, it said the name: ROBERT QUEEN.
