Ch 37: Stalking

"Aika. ... Aika."

Aika: "Mmm."

"Aika. Come on, wake up."

N: With the voice telling her to wake she didn't, the person trying to wake her began stroking her head and Aika started to realize it.

"Aika, Aika."

Aika: "Mmm." She slowly opened her eyes to a light and a blurry figure. "Lizzie?"

N: For a moment she thought the figure was her sister but after she regained sight of who it was she became a little upset. She mistook Tokoyami as the sister in her dream.

Tokoyami: "You're finally awake. How are you feeling Amari?"

Aika: .... "Tokoyami? ... It's you."

Tokoyami: "Yes it's me. How do you feel?"

Aika: "I'm still tired. I feel like I was hit by All Might. Ughh, my body's killing me." She said placing her hand over her forehead.

Tokoyami: "That's the outcome for over using your quirk."

Aika: "Wait, I did? W-When?"

Tokoyami: "You mean you don't recall? It happened when we were sparring. After Dark Shadow attacked you, you lost control of yourself and your quirk. You began covering the whole yard in shadows and darkness."

N: Aika turned pale and felt her blood turn cold. She started getting flashbacks of what happened, she gripped onto the blanket and started shaking.

Tokoyami: "Amari? Hey, hey, it's alright."

Aika: 'I can't believe I didn't keep it together. How could I be so stupid!?' She thought clutching tightly onto the blanket.

N: Tears flooded her eyes and she started crying.

Aika: "I'm sorry! I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to, I tried..I really did. I-I just couldn't stay in control."

Tokoyami: "Amari."

Aika: "I swear, I didn't mean it. I didn't mean to hurt anyone!" She sobbed as the tears rushed down her cheeks. "Please. Please, you have to believe me."

N: He cupped her cheeks and looked her in her tear filled eyes, he leaned towards her and wiped away her tears.

Tokoyami: "I do believe you. I do. But..Please, can you forgive me? For not saving you."

Aika: "What? Forgive you? W-What are you talking about? You did save me."

Tokoyami: "No. No I didn't. I tried to save you, but I froze for a moment and I-"

N: She lift his head up and smiled a little, as more tears fell.

Aika: "Couldn't do anything at the time. You saw how I looked back there, I was a monster. A monster that nearly got you killed. I should be the one asking you for forgiveness."

N: She tried to hide her sobs but as more tears filled her eyes Tokoyami couldn't help himself but to hold her close. Aika still tried to keep up the smile but she broke down in tears. And hid her face in his chest as she gave him a little squeeze.

Tokoyami: "You don't have to apologize for anything."

Aika: *Hic, Sniff* "Mhm."

Tokoyami: "Don't cry anymore. Everything's going to be fine, I promise. I'm going to be right here for you."

N: Aika suddenly felt a warm fuzzy feeling inside, something she hadn't felt since their last few encounters together. As Tokoyami pulled away he wiped away the last few tears from her cheeks. Aika closed her eyes and leaned into one of his hands. Seeing how she looked just now made him blush then he leaned in and kissed her sweetly. Aika's eyes shot opened when he did it then she began blushing and just kissed him back. They parted from the kiss and Tokoyami took both her hands and held them together.
