THE PAST

10 year old Sorin took a stroll in the Black's garden. It was peaceful. But even though it was peaceful, Sorin was still lonely. He never had a playmate or played with his brothers. His brothers were too busy to be with him anyway was what he always thought.

As Sorin sat on one of the white rocking chairs, he looked at the garden. It was full off roses, daffodils and dahlias. As he watched the garden, there was a boy. He had dark, silky black hair with soft black eyes.

"Hello, pretty little boy." He says, making Sorin look up. He had never seen this person before. He looked older than Sorin though. "I don't wanna be rude but, who are you..?" Sorin asked, looking at the boy's eyes.

"My name is Silas. I'm 15. How about you, little boy?" Silas asked as he pet Sorin's smooth hair. "I'm Sorin and I'm 10." He replied back to him, which caused Silas to smile. He blushed a little as he saw Silas smile. It was a beautiful one.

"How about we get to know each other, Sorin?" He said before reaching his hand out to me. Sorin looked at it for a second before realizing that Silas was expecting a handshake. He slowly took his hand, Silas shaking it gently.

"That would mean we're friends, right Sorin?" Silas asked, smiling at the smaller boy who smiled back.

"Mhmm!"

SEVERAL DAYS LATER.

As Sorin walked down the hall, he saw his father and his supposedly other father talking in the couch as he took a small look at the living room.

"You know, you can change the person you are now." His other father said as he took a sip of the drink his mother told Sorin he can drink when he is older. It was a bad drink. Sorin gulped the lump in his throat.

"Why should I?" His dad said, rolling his eyes. "It's for the better. You know that, don't you?" His other father said as he stared at Sorin's dad with that icy stare.

"Look, Carlos. I thank you for being concerned but I don't need it. As long as I have Sorin, I'm complete..." His dad smirked, licking his lips as he thought of Sorin. "Mateo, you're fucking sick and need to stop this." He scowled at his dad, who just rolled his eyes.

The room was filled with silence until his other father put down his shot. "I'm warning you. You won't love yourself when you realize what you've become." He got up then walked out of the living room. He didn't notice Sorin as he left and went upstairs.

Sorin didn't know what he meant by "change the person you are now." but it creeped him out for some reason.

"Sorin?" Sorin gasped as his thoughts were interrupted then looked up, seeing his dad.
