School ended, I was finally able to relax for a while. Chris wasn't here which was a total bummer. He said he was "sick" for the sixth time this week. I planned on visiting him later on, after my chores of course.

I walked home since I don't have enough money for a car. I had a license but no car. There was no cheap, used cars I could get so. I was not like Damien. My brothers surprised Damien with a BMW in his 18th birthday.

I tried asking him but... Well, you know it never ended well...

"Why would we buy you a car, Sorin? You know I don't buy someone if they don't deserve or have worth."

All I knew was that it was a clear no so, I walk. I really wanted to save money so, I never took the bus. It was practically worth it. I even get to listen to music as I'm alone in my walk. The walk was nice. The cold breeze always relaxed me. A win-win.

Pushing my walk aside, I still can't believe I'm related to the four of them. They're all so cruel and mean. I'm like, the total opposite, I guess. They never saw me as their brother. Just a total stranger or a maid to clean up their mess. That's all they'll ever see me. A good-for-nothing.

Walking up to the driveway to the front door. I saw Damien and everyone's car parked. I walked towards the front door and took off my shoes. I grabbed the cold doorknob but before I could open it, I heard laughter and chatting from behind the door.

I slowly put my ear on the front door. The chat was all muffled. It must've been my brothers' business partners. The voices were different after all.

It was until a sudden "BANG!" was heard inside. It made me flinch. What was going on in there? I winced as pain erupted my ear, rubbing it soothingly. I leaned in again, hearing the sound of my brother yelling and shouting was heard. They were the voices of my brothers. Until utter silence took over.

My face was filled with both concern and confusion. I twisted the doorknob then opened the door with a visible crack. I peeked through the crack, looking left to right for my brothers to appear. I opened it wider and wider until I fully opened the door.

I slowly tip toed inside the mansion, closing the door behind me, being mindful that I should close it gently. After closing the door, I walked step by step on the marble stairs quietly.

I saw as Derek came in view, walking. My body stiffened quickly that I thought I broke my back. Or could've. He eventually saw me standing quietly and his glare stopped.

"Do your chores already, Sorin." He said. I nodded hesitantly and in the corner of my eye, I saw blood stain on his jawline. Thinking that he was bleeding, I called out his name.

"D-Derek... Ummm..." I called out, making him halt. He looked at me over his shoulder with a brow raised. I slowly pointed out my jawline, making him brush his slim fingers over his jawline. I didn't see a cut or so. It wasn't his..?
