*So you move over to your handbag, to search for the strip of painkillers. You really need one*

*When you finally find it, you walk back to the kitchen to search for a glass to put some water in*

George: A painkiller?

*You nod*

Y/n: It just hurts

George: Of course it does.. They were cruel...

Y/n: For sure they were...

*George reaches in a kitchen cabin for a glass, fills it up with water and hands the glass over to you*

Y/n: Thanks

*You notice him looking at you, but when he feels caught, he starts cutting the carrots*

*Slowly you move back to the chair. Once you sit down, you quickly look back at George*

*He's cutting the vegetables like a machine. He's so caught up in his thoughts that he doesn't even notice you looking at him*

*What keeps him so busy in his mind?*

*An hour later the both of you lean back on your chair*

Y/n: That was amazing George. I wish you were able to cook like that every day

George smiles: The upcoming days I'm all available for your wishes, Miss Verstappen

Y/n: Well, thank you Mister Russell. That sounds lovely

*You reach for your glass of water and take a sip of it*

*Then you just look at him, thinking back about yesterday morning. The morning after he calmed you down*

*You two were supposed to meet that evening. What was he going to tell?*

*George catches you thinking*

George: Care to share your thoughts?

Y/n: Oh, I was just thinking about yesterday

George: I hope not about last night...?

*You shake your head*

Y/n: No, I was thinking about you. You wanted to talk to me yesterday

George: Yes, I did...

Y/n: And I just thought back of last morning. You seemed off... What did you want to talk about?

*Immediately his face expression changes and he backs off again. You shouldn't have asked it...*

Y/n: Please, don't back off now. It's just the two of us around here. We can be honest with each other right? It's not like someone is going to walk in or eavesdrop on us

George: I know...

*The soulmate pain starts to appear again*

George: It's not that important. We should forget about it

*He reaches for his glass of water and drinks a bit*

Y/n: No George, I'm not letting this go. It's bothering you. I can feel it

*He looks up*

George: Feel it...?

Y/n: The soulmate pain, George. It's appearing right now, so that's why I know it's a big deal

George: I...

*You notice how he twists his glass around so the water in it starts to twirl*

George: I... I overheard something in the paddock last Saturday...
