"SEVYNNN, SEVYNN!" I heard Elle yell through the phone. Glancing at the clock, it was 5 in the morning.

"He's awake," was all she could say, and I felt my heart drop to my fucking stomach.

"What you mean he's awake?" I questioned, practically falling out of the bed and grabbing whatever clothes were nearby.

"The doctors called me. They said he's waking up. They're running some tests. But I'm on my to the hospital." She hung up before I could even respond.

"Astrooooo," I called, scooping him up. "Yo daddy awake."

I threw on some clothes, barely thinking about what I was wearing. My heart was racing, and I felt like I couldn't move fast enough

The drive to the hospital was a blur, my mind racing with a million thoughts.

When I pulled up to the hospital, Elle was already there, waiting for me at the entrance. She rushed over as soon as she saw me, pulling me into a tight hug.

"He's really awake?" I asked, my voice barely a whisper.

"Yes, baby, he's awake. The doctors are with him now, but we can go up in a bit," she said, tears in her eyes.

We made our way inside, taking the elevator up to his floor. Every second felt like a fucking eternity. My heart pounded in my chest as we walked down the hallway to his room.
