A new dawn

I woke up from my deep sleep knowing Leo was going to snap on that girl, " Leo?" I said in distress I couldn't see him anywhere, I remember how he snuggled into what was left of a bed being thankful for life but for him there is nothing else he can lose. I walked down a hallway with my gun out ready too shoot anything that stands between me and Leo. " hello, is anyone there?..." It seemed like a millennium but a voice came from somewhere saying help, I continued down the hall until something grabbed my foot causing me to fall over ,I looked towards the arm, I found a hammer next to me so I picked it up and crushed the hand as the blood poured out from the debris. Leo was behind me staring at the dead body " I did this .... Sorry." Leo said in sorrow, as I lifted the debris off of the body I heard another body drop behind me I instantly turned around a zombie was there with a hole in its head I am beginning to think teaming with Leo was a good idea. I finished lifting the debris it was the girl that imprisoned Leo, "what happened?" I said with a straight face. He only said one word that explained it all " INFECTED". We exited the old building and got into our 4x4 Holden, Leo was riding shotgun while I was driving he knew how to drive a little but only a little so I couldn't risk it. "Um.....Leo? I was wondering do you like me as a friend or just as a teammate?" I knew Leo was going too have to say something "you saved me and took me in as if I was your own kid so I am friend." Leo was starting to cry, I heard I gun fire in the distance and a scream closer,"maybe there are more survivors near us Leo, maybe we can find them and find a cure."
