"No, I swear she was real! I saw her in the dolphin display! She was too beautiful to be human!"

Dante entered the kitchen to find both his roommates awake and making breakfast.

He opened the fridge to grab some milk.

"Whats he going on about now?" The blue-haired boy said as he poured some cereal in a bowl.

"Apparently he saw a real mermaid in the dolphin display."

"She is real!" Garroth defended.

Dante eyed the blonde before laughing.

"Garroth. You do know that they have professional swimmers who dress up to do acts like that, right?" He said.

"No but she was real! She was so...Ethereal."

"Woah, that's a pretty big word for you." Laurance chuckled.

The blonde sighed.

"Look. Laugh all you want, but I know what I saw. She was a real mermaid." He said, refusing to accept any other truth.

"Yup. And I'm sure she helps the turtles come alive at night to fight crime." Dante smirked, only shaking his head.

You examined the leather bracelet on your wrist as you walked down the street.

It was a family heirloom that according to your Aunt, had been in the family for eons.

It was your father's before he'd passed away, and it remained something close to your heart for a long time.

It was brown, with leather material, and had two luminescent pink pearls on it that entrapped a blue shell.

You liked it because it was a beauty that came from the ocean.

You looked ahead, spotting the house Aphmau had texted you the address to.

Apparently you were going to meet the guys today.

You weren't to sure of the idea, but Aphmau had managed to convince you, stating that the guys were also an important part of the friend group and you felt obliged to go in order to get to know everyone more.

When you got to the door, you heard someone yelling about how they were stuck in the toilet. You thought for a moment and recognized the voice.

"Oh my Irene...Is that...Aphmau?" You couldn't resist the urge to smile a bit.

Finally finishing your inspection of your bracelet, you knocked on the door.

It swung open and you were met with a blue haired, blue eyed man.

"Ooh. Christmas came early because an angel like you is exactly what I asked for from Santa."

"Uh..." You looked away, shifting to hide your discomfort.

"Hey is that (Y/N)? (Y/N)! You're here!" Aphmau pushed past Dante and hugged you.

Not used to hugs from anyone except from Lucinda and your aunt, you kind of just...froze.

You stood there until she pulled away.

"I'm so glad you could make it!" Aphmau turned to the blue haired man.

"This is (Y/N). (Y/N), this is-"

"Your future man." Dante cut in, winking at you.

"Psh. In your dreams." You said, hand flying to your mouth instantly.

You were supposed to be making new friends but your sarcasm just kind of...Came out?
