Chapter 4: Baby It's Cold Outside

You were lounging around the house on the couch. Lucinda was sitting on the chair next to you flipping through one of her Witchcraft books, a cup of tea resting gently on the black table next to the chair.

You felt your phone buzz and saw a text from Aphmau.

"Hey Luci."

Your best friend looked up from the book, a strand of her carrot her slipping from her messy bun as she sat up a bit.

"What's up?"

"Aphmau said they're gonna drink Hot cocoa and go play in the snow outside and she was wondering if we wanted to join in?"

"What? It's snowing? That explains why I'm feeling cold."

"Yeah. It's totally not because you're wearing booty shorts." You rolled your eyes.

Lucinda stuck out her tongue before pointing a finger to her clothes.

"Adaptiose!"

Her pajamas instantly became warm themed with her shorts elongating to pants and a jacket appearing on her shoulders.

"Oh Lucinda.."

You could only shake your head.

"Girl, you didn't actually think I was gonna get up from the couch, right?"

"So I'll take that as a pass on the snow date then?" You inquired, preparing to text Aphmau back.

"Yeah no. I gotta go prepare for winter."

"And by that you mean-"

"Take a nap."

"Right. Well then, I suppose I'll let her know we aren't coming then."

"No. I'm not. But you should totally go girl. You need other friends besides me." She smirked, toying with a strand of her hair.

"Mm...Not really." You said.

"(Y/N). I know it isn't easy for you to make friends but I promise you that these guys are good people. You can't tell me you haven't been having fun these days."

She wasn't wrong. Between your job and the few visits you'd had with the inhabitants on MyStreet, for the first time in awhile..You kind of felt at home.

"I mean..I suppose it hasn't been that bad." You replied.

"That's the spirit girl! Go have fun. You deserve it. You've been working hard at work all week, and you even made a batch of potions for me yesterday. You need a little break." Lucinda said.

You sighed and got of the couch.

"You do realize I can take a break at home righ-"

"(Y/N). Go."

"Alright, Alright." The muttered, going to slip on your winter clothes.

Lucinda could be such a bully sometimes.

"I really can't stay~!" Aphmau sang loudly while dancing around the kitchen.

You and Katelyn sat at the dining table drinking hot cocoa while watching Aphmau sing Christmas songs.

"She's been doing this all day. She woke me up with a song from Frozen." Katelyn said to you, rolling her eyes.

A small smile played at your lips so you downed more of your hot cocoa, trying to hide it.

"Aphmau! Can we please go outside now? You sound like one of Kawaii-Chan's stray cats." Katelyn whined.
