Chapter 5: Your Lovely Presence

"...And....All done!" You smiled, lifting the small creature lightly in the air and setting him down gently on a rock in the aquarium.

"How do you feel Andronicus? Awe, I wish I could take you home! I think you'd get along with my little Mina!" You smiled more watching the turtle slowly crawl off without a word.

You sighed. You had been working since early in the morning at the aquarium and it was such a joyous experience.

Andronicus, the turtle you'd just let free had, had a barnacle stuck to it's shell, the poor baby. It had been tough to remove(as Barnacles often were) but you were as gentle as you could be and were able to get the nasty creature off the poor turtle.

You carefully disposed of all the waste.

It was just about time for your lunch break, and luckily for you, your job allowed for a 2 hour lunch break. (A/N: What in the unrealistic, I-🤦🏾‍♀️).

Just as you were leaving the Turtle display, you saw someone waving from outside the tank.

It was strange because the turtle display wasn't very popular at this time so you'd figured you could do your work in peace. Luckily you had been leaving.

"Hey (Y/N)."

Your heart jumped when you heard your name and turned to see Garroth as you exited the display.

"Woah, Garroth, you scared me." You said.

The blonde smiled, laughing lightly.

"I did? Sorry about that." He replied.

"Um..How long have you been standing there..?" You asked, afraid of what he'd say.

"Well, long enough to see you putting the turtle in the water." He said, with a small glimmer in his eyes.

You didn't know what to say. The embarrassment made your cheeks warm..

"Why are you here?"

He held up a camera enthusiastically.

"I'm here to see the turtles! They're my favorite! Especially Leonardo!"

You looked at the turtle crawling over a rock and eating some food.

"Oh him? Yeah he's a grouchy one. Personally, Andronicus is my favorite." You conversed.

Garroth looked at you, surprised to hear you having light conversation, but he was happy you seemed to finally be warming up to him.

"Is that the one you were holding? He's okay but he's no Ninja Turtle." The blond replied.

Well that got you talking.

"Oh come on! They're not actually ninja turtles. And besides, Andronicus could be a ninja turtle if he wanted to! Look at him, he's such a baddie!"

You gestured to he turtle you'd just been working with. He was busy swimming peacefully.

"What? That guy? I bet the baddest thing he's done is flip over on his shell. Leonardo has style, see, look at his little mustache." Garroth defended.

"Garroth...That's seaweed...Which he's eating." You pointed out.

The Blonde pouted before perking up.

"W-well! All the Ninja Turtles are named after famous Renaissance artists! So Andronicus couldn't possibly be one of them."

"Geez, why do you have to give Andronicus such 'you can't sit with us' energy?" You smiled a small smile.

Garroth laughed, and you felt the urge to laugh too but you stopped yourself.
