Unexpected (Shadow x Mobian!Reader)

The three left in the plane had escaped the falling cab. One barely awake and barely comprehending what was going on around them. They saw that two of their friends were falling to the ground, Amy trying to take the parachute off to run after Sonic, and Tails left in a state of shock after his plane had been destroyed and his best friends were separated. The (a/t) left startled, their bag was on their front and the parachute was barely hanging on to their body. Obviously whoever put the chute on them was in a rush, making them panic in the air. Loosening the straps even more in the attempts to try and secure them.

"Woah! Woah! What are you doing?" Tails flew in front of them.

"My straps they're not secure. I'm gonna slip. I don't want to fall. I think I'm gonna-" And just like that the parachute slipped and they flew to the ground. The wind started picking up again like the previous night separating the three. Tails tried his best to fly down to grab his friend who had slipped, but the wind was too much for him as he clipped the top of a tree and spun out. Breaking branches as he fell. Amy watched in horror still trying to get her chute off, she didn't know what to do. Her eyes swelled at the dark thoughts she had of each of them perishing in this blizzard.

The (a/t) rolled on the snow covering their fur in snow and loosing their bag in the process. Your eyes shot open and watched the bag roll behind you, noting that it should land nearby. Rocks that were concealed in the snow scraped and banged you up, making you wince and yelp in pain.

The rolling came to a stop and they heard the bag plant itself near by. You laid there for a second gathering yourself and mentally preparing for the up hill battle they would face of not only walking mindlessly through a blizzard, but looking for your friends and making sure they were okay too. You sat up in agonizing pain, slowly feeling their spine pop as they did and turned around to find the bag.

Glowing red.

You scrambled up to the bag and opened to feel the glow of the gem envelope you in warmth. Sonic must have put it there. All you were able think of was now you absolutely had to make it out of here alive and couldn't just give up and die of hypothermia or starvation like the back up plan was beginning to be.

But a target of the dark hedgehog that had broken their plane. You stood grabbing the bag and strapped it in place making sure the gem was secure. Your kendo was strapped to their side prepared for any attempts of thievery. The first choice was to go for Sonic, since most of the group would try and save him from the enemy that hunted him. So you started to tretch left only hoping you wouldn't get turned around.

The thick snow made it hard to walk, you pushed against the rushing winds leaning your full body forward in hopes not to topple over. This was the rudest awakening you had endured, staying up all night to make sure the others didn't know Sonic had left and to keep them safe. Then being thrown out of a plane because of an old enemy of his? And still being in the snow was not a perfect combination. All they could think about was the little shack they had on the beach and the small garden in the back. The rude neighbor that bothered them all the time about needing some ingredient that they almost never had or ever heard of.

Lost in thought you stepped in a deep hole, letting out a scream of pain which echoed in the trees. Your ankle got caught in between a sharp rock and the earth. Teeth bared and tears threatened to fall and they reached down and tried to pry it out.

In the distance it caught the attention of two hedgehogs, the blue now more determined to win hearing the cry of one of his friends. "Shadow. I don't know what makes you think you can beat me this time, but it's not going to happen." Sonic shrugged, running around the angered one taunting him. Originally he had wanted to stall him to make sure that the rest of the group was safe and looked for Knuckles. Now one was in danger and he couldn't get there in time.

"You will not stand in my way. Where is the emerald?!" He punched but Sonic kept dodging "You are a pathetic excuse for a hedgehog." Shadow did a low kick tripping the blue blur making him fall and his his head. Shadow stood over him and leaned down to be in his face. "I will not hesitate to bring you and your pathetic friends down. Where is the emerald?" Sonic opened his mouth and let out a snarky remark.

"Over yonder, somewhere out there." Shadow punched between his eyes hard and stood from the unconscious one. Not dead. Unconscious. And made his way out to where the plane may have crashed, following the sound of where the scream came from.

The (a/t) sat in the snow trying to get their foot out of the hole. Now bleeding from the ankle they twisted and pulled as much as possible until finally the rock came loose and it was free. "Finally." Your voice cracked and calmed yourself down from the panic and adrenaline. Reaching into their bag to get the blanket out from before to tear off a piece. Putting one side in your mouth you tore down on the shorter end of the blanket to make a bandage until they had proper tools to clean it.

You had put all your body weight on the uninjured leg making it difficult to stand, but  managed nontheless. Any pressure on the ankle was painful now. Limping forward they leaned on anything to make it easier, trees, mounds of snow, rocks just to get to their friend.

Alas that did not last long. Instead there was a cliff above them that made a little cave and they limped that way to sit down underneath and prop their leg up on their bag. They leaned on the back of it and slid down to sit closing their eyes for a moment to catch their breath. Some dirt fell onto of the (a/t) catching their attention, the show on the edge of the cliff fell abnormally.

Someone was here.

They grabbed their kendo stick and got ready to fight. If it was one of their friends they would understand. The intruder jumped down to their level not facing them and the (a/t) swung as hard as they could to the back of their head.
