I sat in my bathroom while my hair dresser arranged my hair. He braided small strands on one side and pulled them across to the other side of my head. He gently pulled my hair to one side of my neck. He tied it and let it grab at the air. My make-up was a sparkly shadowy look. It lit up my beautiful bright green eyes. I wore bright red lipstick, and thick eyeliner. I walked into my room and slipped into my dress. Darla would not let me even peak at it. I had no clue what it looked like.
When she told me to open my eyes I stared hard at the mirror in awe. The dress was body tight down to about my knees. Then it fell loose. It was strapless. The basic color was a dark gray. Tool bunched up around the tight body parts. It was a gray color with tiny strands of multiple colors. There was yellow, red, purple, royal blue, green, white, pink and many others. From my knees down it was the same tool that bunched up on the top part. It was short enough in the front that it touched the floor, but I could not step on it. Then it grew longer in the back, like a train.
I twirled and looked at myself. I defiantly did not look like the same Bridget. I looked older than nineteen. I looked about twenty five. "So, how do you like it?" Darla asked.
I smiled. "It is perfect." I said.
She set down a pair of gray stilettos in front of me. She handed me a pair of dangly diamond earrings. I put them in. "Here is the last final adjustment." She said as she as she placed a cold diamond necklace that matched my earrings around my neck. "There, now you look unstoppable."
I looked at myself again. I looked ready to wow someone. I just hope I would wow someone that I actually wanted to spend the rest of my life with. I took a deep breath and started to walk. I descended the stairs. I walked to the ball room and stopped at the large engraved doors. I took another deep breath. The men opened the doors, and I walked in. Everyone and everything stopped to look at me. It felt like time had stopped just for me. Everyone was in awe. Their eyes almost escaped their heads, because they were so shocked at how I looked.
I walked in, stopped and smiled. The first contestant walked up and bowed. "Princess, would you like to dance?" A geeky English prince asked.
I nodded. He led me to the middle of the dance floor. We danced quietly for five minutes. "Umm... You look hot." He said awkwardly.
"Thank you." I said a little disappointed he said 'hot'.
"May I cut in?" An Arabic prince asked. He was tall tan and handsome. He had dark brown eyes, and black hair. The English prince slowly backed away. "You're welcome. That guy was a little creepy." He said laughing softly.
"A little, and thanks." I said smiling.
"I am Prince Abu." He said swaying with the music.
"Nice to meet you Abu. I am Princess Bridget."
"I was so glad you invited me. Ever since I heard about your amazing heroic act about a month ago, I was determined to meet you."
