"Why are you leaving? You just got here yesterday. Don't you want to stay a little longer?" Grandmother asked.
I loaded the last bag in my car. "I still have wedding stuff to get taken care of. I only wanted to come tell you about the wedding."
"You saw him didn't you?"
I nodded. "Yes, and he has moved on."
She shook her head. "Honey, you are blinded by pain. You cannot really see that he still loves you. When he over dosed, everyone was shocked. I knew that he didn't do it on purpose. I knew it was because he was angry and wanted to get back at you."
"He told me that. Now, I am sorry, but I really have to go. My plane leaves in an hour. Goodbye, Grandmother. I hope to see you at the wedding." I said about to get in my car. I closed the door when another car drove up.
Justin got out. He walked up to me and opened the door. "You cannot marry him."
"Why not?"
"You will be unhappy for the rest of your life. I do not want to see you unhappy."
"Justin we need to move on. If that means I have to be unhappy, then maybe it is the right thing to do."
He bent down. "I don't want to move on."
"I don't want to either, but it is what needs to happen. We need to move on so we can get on with our lives."
"No, I am not going to let you go through with this. I told you yesterday that I regretted letting you go. I am not going to regret it a third time. I cannot let you go this time. I STILL love you. Please tell me you still love me, too."
Tears rolled down my cheeks. "Yes, of course I still love you. I always will love you, but."
He placed a finger over my mouth. "No buts. I don't want to hear any buts. I just wanted to hear you say you love me." He removed his finger and placed his hand on my cheek. I grabbed his hand, and felt his warm skin. "Please don't leave. Stay here with me."
I looked up at his face. "I have to go."
"No, please don't go. Stay with me." He said. Tears rolled down his face. I wiped them away.
"I am not going to be stupid this time, I promise. But I still have to go back. I have to tell Eduardo that the wedding is off."
He smiled with relief. "It sounded like you wanted to marry him still."
I choked and laughed. "No, I defiantly do not want to marry him. I have lost you plenty of times. I am not going to cause us anymore pain."
