Chapter 7: Warm awakening

Ekoo POV

I woke up to the smell of eggs, bacon, and.......Biscuits. Mmmm. The smell was mesmerizing.

As I started to get up I realized that one: I was still in my dirty clothing but at least my shoes were off. Two: I was I Aaron's bed (awkward) and Three : My arm was throbbing with pain. I looked down and saw the bandage on my arm.

Maybe he does care I thought. I stood up and walked in to the dinning room as Aaron put my food in front of my plate.

" Good morning, Frizz head.", he said. I smiled and replied " Well, Mr. Rueful your breath could kill a small bird kid." I giggled as I began to scarf down my food.

Aaron's Pov

I lied. Her hair was fine, as beautiful as ever, but I loved to annoy her. I had woke up at dawn and started to make breakfast. Thinking about what has happened since the day I had asked Ek to fly with me.

I was in a pretty dull mood but that changed when she walked in to eat breakfast. " You want to go swimming today."I asked. "Ya! wait what about my arm.", she asked a small frown appearing on her face.

"Don't worry I applied a water proof cover on the bandage. As long as you don't move around to much I should be fine."I said. "Ok!", she replied excitedly.

Aaron's pov

When we got to the swimming hole Ek and I grabbed the ropes and swung over the side of the cliff, tilting our bodies up side down in to a diving position and splashing into the cold water.

We played in the water all day.

As we flew back to my dad's house the cool wind flapped our wet clothes back and forth making us even colder.

After we got home we canged in to night clothes, I went to sleep on the couch and Ek covered up in the warm covers of my soft bed.

I was a bit jealous but that was ok, the exhausting day had me very tired and I fell asleep as soon as I hit the leathery couch.
