Chapter 19: Emotional Rollercoaster

Seth's pov:

The pool was so relaxing the warm water just lulled me off to sleep. I heard the water move and a surge of relaxation and comfort. Crap. I lowly opened my eyes there was a person there with me. Glad for the darkness I looked carefully at the person. Oh. my. goodness. It was Silka...

Her long black hair was floating on top of the water and her shapely bodice was thankfully covered by the water. I modestly kept my eyes up and looked at her face. It seemed like she was looking right threw me. I was thinking on words to say but none really worked so I just cleared my throat.

She jumped a bit instantly demanding, "Who is there?" "Um its me Seth." I replied nervously. She stood up her wet hair sticking to her shoulders, a simple nude colored bra that i had failed to notice before was visable.The water was dripping down her stomach. I realized I was staring and quickly looked above her. She walked towards me but I kept looking up.

Her hand touched my chest and I didn't look down. "You need to leave." She said."go on now." I my face was so red I was almost glad she was blind. That thought made me feel instantly guilty. I climbed out of the pool realizing what she had done and put my clothes back on, quickly running back to camp.

Silkas POV: I sighed deeply as I heard his foot steps fade down the corridor like cave. I had felt his heart beat threw his warm chest, it had been beating every fast. I sunk back in the warm water and smiled to myself.

Poor boy I probably scared him half to death... I hope he didn't notice them. Under the water I felt the ridges that ran up and down my left arm. I winched as my finger touched the most resent one. I felt the tear drops filling up my useless eyes and down my cheeks. Why? Why? Is all I could think as I drifted away in my mind.

After an hour or so I climbed out of the pool . I got dressed pulling my sleeves down sneaking back to camp. When I finaly got back I snuck over to a corner trying to guess where everyone was so as to not step on them. After a few painstaking moments I found a spot and layed down on the chilly rock floor.

I woke up by instinct knowing it was day and shook Darius awake. I heard him sit up slowly. "Good morning " he whispered. Picturing him in my mind I heard him get up and start a fire. Soon the savory and wonderful smell of bacon that Darius had brought in his pack filled the room.

As the sizzling and smell grew it tickled the hungry bellies of the group and the sound of people talking began to arise. I set against the rock listening to each sound and forming a whole setting in my mind. Darius was cooking bacon talking silently to Manasseh explaining how our civilization worked. Winter was sitting on Ekoo's lap telling Archer about her many adventures. Sitting next to the other wall was Seth was mending a hole in his pants with a needle that Darius let him use.

Aaron. Aaron I could not hear. A few moments ago he had kissed Ekoo on the cheek but after that his sounds ceased to be heard. Suddenly I heard breathing beside me. I jumped and turned to face whom ever it was though I knew I couldn't see them and a light chuckle emitted from right next to me. "Skiddish much." Aaron said lightly a playful tone to his voice.

There he is. I reached out with my hand till it touched his shoulder. "What are y...?" I cut his sentence off with a hard punch on the exact spot I had touched. " ow." He said with no tone in his voice. smiling I answered him, "you deserved it."

Aaron's POV

I rubbed my shoulder smiling at the girl glaring at me with unseeing eyes. She had seemed so peaceful sitting against the wall. "Foods done!" Yelled Manasseh his hands flying to the bacon and shoving three in is mouth. "Slow down we all want some." I said standing up and walking over to the food. I got three for me and three for Ek. As I set down beside her her beautiful green eyes looked  at me and she smiled blushing. She was so cute. "How are you feeling?" I asked referring to her side. "There's no more pain." She answered. "Good." I said smiling.

I grabbed one of the pieces that I had brought over and bit into the crispy and flavorful Bacon. I love bacon. Soon everyone had ate and we began walking again threw the cold dark caves. Darius was leading us threw many strange paths that only a practiced eye could find.

All the sudden he stopped. Me, Ek, Seth, and Winter fell over each other resulting in a mass of bodies flailing around. I was the first to detangle myself and I casually helped Ek up as well as Winter and Manasseh. All of who looked very flustered. Archer was laughing. "Are you ok?" He asked Winter trying to hold back his laughter. Darius continued walking disappearing in thin air. Silka fallowed him and Manasseh fallowed her his eyes wide with astonishment. Archer lead Ek and Winter threw. I was left alone. Confused I tried to fallow them but I didn't dissapper I walked about 10feet and turned around.

I saw Seth laying still on the floor his eyes closed and leaking agonised tears his mouth frozen in a silent scream. Everyone seemed to have forgotten him and myself. I got down on my knees and slowly moved him over. He gasped in pain clutching his side."Seth? You ok?" I asked softly.

He shook his head groaning. "Ok well just breathe." I say softly fighting off a wave of anger realizing we had been left behind. A few seconds later I felt very calm and relaxed. Seth must have gotten angry too because before I knew it. He had jumped up and punched the wall full force. He pulled his hand back slowly looking at his bloodied knuckles. He turned around and stood against the wall holding his hand and slid down his knees against his chest. "What was that? " I asked looking at him with concern and walking over to sit beside him. "Nothing." He mumbled turning away from me.

We set a while and when he seemed to have calmed down I bandaged is now swollen hand. "We need to get moving." I commented standing up. He held out his hand and I pulled him up carefully. I opened my wings as far as I could in the cramped cave stretching them before tucking them back. Seth smiled but there was a sullen look in his eyes.

"Lets go." We walked side by side down the cave. I reached out in front of me. It wasn't just air anymore it felt cold and gelatinous. "What is this stuff?" Seth asked. I smiled, "This is where they went." Then I took Seth's arm and walked threw it.
