Chapter 11:Evil lurks

Aaron's pov:

A few seconds after Manasseh left my hand began to numb. I hope I didn't hit anything important. Ek was trying to stop the blood with a towel but it already stained one of my only pair of pants.

" Ek. Go get my stitching kit and try your best please." I said in a calm as possable voice. Ek gave me the towel and went to get the stitching kit. "Ok. This might hurt a bit."She said in a nervous voice as she returned."Don't worry I can't feel a thing"I said as she began.

Winter came over to watch as Ek stitched me up. All I could think about was Ek's beautiful eyes and her lovely hair.I slipped a small smile. "What was that for?" Ek asked " nothing" I replied as she finished stitching and began to wrap my injured hand up.

Then when she was finished, I retured to the table with Winter. After she cleaned up the  blood on the floor Ek joined us.

Manasseh's pov:

I had been holding Seth for about 10 minutes before he finally woke up. His eyes slowly opened and they were red and tired looking. So, I reached in my bag and got out a shot a guy name Jeb invented. I only had one left.

It allows Seth to feel less pain and it also gave him more energy. I knew Seth hated shots but, it was the best that we had...if he didn't want any side effects.

Anyway, I administered he shot in to his arm and in a few seconds he was as good as new."Thanks" he whispered as we walked in to the kitchen and continued eating.

Aaron's pov:

Finnaly, everyone was sitting at the table and eating breakfast. We all had made a unspoken pact to eat quietly. It was so calm and peaceful compared to what had happened a few minutes ago.

You could here the birds playing and singing outside than every thing was quiet. Then Seth stood up swiftly and said in a uncertain tone," Aaron. Somethings are outside..... it seems dangerous."

I got up quickly, softy wincing as my injured hand hit the table. I walked over to the door and looked outside. " Oh. My. Gravy."I whispered in shock.

There were all kinds of mutated animals everywhere. One kind was a black leopard as big or bigger than a extinct animal called a moose and instead of fur it had black shinny scales.

They were about ten feet away from the tree that our house was in. Then a man climbed up the tree when he finally got up there I realized it was Jeb." Hello Aaron. I came to see how the second generation of human/avian hybrids were doing.

"Oh. It seems you have company. Hello Manasseh." He said in his creepy voice. "You know him?" I asked Manasseh, he just nodded. " Of course they know me I created them. " Jeb answered

Watch, I can take Seth here, and make him writhe in complete and utter agony.", He answered. Grabbing a man beside him and  gave him a shot, just then Seth fell down screaming, crying and rolling all over the porch. Good thing we added a rail.

Then I thought quietly: How crazy has jeb become?

Seth pov:

I was on fire, being cut everywhere, and got acid poored all over me. It felt like my limbs were being torn off. Then I felt Manasseh beside me. I thought : I'm dying.Good at least the pain will stop.

Ekoo's pov:

I saw Seth writhing in pain as Manasseh tired to help him. It was heartbreaking and all I could do was stand there holding a crying Winter from her two brothers.

Manasseh's pov:

I thought of water and ice to calm him down. I thought of unconscious to stop the pain. Finally, it worked and he passed out completely. Jeb laughed "bye." He said humorously."I'll be back" and I thought are they just going to let him go?

Aaron's pov:

Rage welled within me and I attacked him. I grabbed his arm and felt his nose give away to my fist. His nose started gushing blood all over his 300 dollar suit.

After that just for good measure I took his shoulders and pushed him with extra force downwards straight in to my knee.

In short I kneed him in the crouch really really hard. He yelped then jumped of the porch over 100 yards down to one of his leopards and rode away. I hope it hurt.
