Chapter 18: Darius, Archer, and Silka

Silka's pov:

I had been fallowing Darius and Archer for a long time but when they finally tied the unaware sleeping people up I decided to make my self known." salve mei."I said.

I heard them jump in fright. "No around them we must use English not Latin. " said Darius "What are you doing here Silka?" "I am going with you my life long affliction will not affect you." I answered the words feeling strange on my lips. "I'm glad you came." said Archer.

Darius pov :

When Silka appeared her shoulder length messed up black hair blinding in to the darkness and her white unseeing eyes seeming to look straight at me I was actually happy. I could tell Archer was glad too. "Well its a good thing I have finished tying them up." I said, looking over to see the dark haired one's hand move. "They are awaking."

Aaron's pov:

My head hurts. My hands hurt. Why cant I wake up? I thought trying to open my eyes . The light came in and I finally got them to open. The first thing I saw was a dirty blond teenager. His messy hair almost hit his shoulders and his gold contrasting eyes staring at me.

I looked over and saw another male probably had just turned fifteen I automatically assumed they were brothers because their eyes were the same. Then there was a girl who had white eyes. Realizing she was blind I felt saddened.

I tried to move but I soon realized I was tied up. "Hey. Who are you?" I questioned calmly. "I am Darius. This is Archer and Silka. We are from Lapidem Domum. All of the sudden I heard a small voice say," Stone Home?" It was Winter. Archer went over and carefully set her up agenst the wall.

Archer's pov:

I walked over to the young girl of about six and asked,"Vos amici mei latine loqui?" "Sed ego multum loqui linguis animalia quos possidet." She answered back. "She speaks our language and animals." I reported to Darius. I walked over to the other guy... a boy of about my age or older and set him by the others.

"What are your names?" asked Darius. " My name is Aaron hers is Ekoo and the dark haired one is Manasseh. The youngest boy is Seth and she is Winter." he replied. Then out of no where Silka jogged over to the one they called Manasseh and grabbed his shoulder harshly. His eyes flew open and he glared at her. "Let me go." he seethed. "Never" she answered.

Manessehs pov:

I woke up about the time Winter was talking to some boy. I relized was tied up and I had to get out so, keeping my eyes closed I prepared to change into a slippery mink. But then this chick grabbed my shoulder. You wouldn't think that would be a problem but now I couldn't focus on anything.

She knew and I looked her right in to her eyes realizing one problem with using intimidation you have to look into her eyes. But she was blind. "Slika, reversus est." said Darius. "No, he was going to change his form." she answered angrily. " Eff ya, I was going to change you got me all tied up!" I answered.

" Don't." whispered Aaron. "Just let him go. He will not change into an animal. If he does you can kill me." She thought about it and slowly let go of my wrist. "Fine." Then she walked over to Ekoo and shook her softly and she soon opened her eyes. Stupid Aaron and his promise....I could have killed all of these outsiders.

Ek pov:

I opened my eyes to a girl looking at me. She wasn't looking at me though, it was like she was looking through me. "Hi my name is Ek." I said smiling trying to keep cool. "I know. Would you like me to untie you?" she asked a warm expression on her face. "Yes. Thank you." I answered. Aaron was looking at me his neutral expression the same as always but strangely Manasseh looked mad his face contorted is a ruthless scowl as he turned away.

I looked at the girl as she took the dagger in her belt and cut off the ruff ropes. Sighing as my hands started to gain back their natural circulation. I stood up slowly as the girl enquired me to open my wings. "My name is Silka, I need to look at them to make sure they are real and not fabricated like something of those horrible animals flying around." I walked forward towards the blond guy with a soft smile so that I could open them fully in the larger section of the cavern.

The dark ruddy haired boy looked at me with a sort of awe as I meekly opened my wings. Silka felt them with her light touch. Feeling where they protruded from my back and feeling my feathers. "Darius, they are real come look."she said sounding satisfied. The tall dirty blonde guy came over and felt my wings. I blushed as I realized how close he was. With his golden eyes searching for any imperfection how could I not blush? Finally he finished and he said, " Ok Manasseh...Can you make some food?" "Yes, your highness..." He said grumbling as Aaron slowly got up and untied him.

"So you all live in this maze of a cavern and speak uhh...Is that latin?" Asked Aaron. "Yes" said Darius "This has been our home even before all the regular humans died. Centuries in fact." "Wow" said winter "That's so cool." "Ya I guess you could say that." said Archer smiling. I guessed that he was already friends with Winter.
I was glad ...With the tension so high any miss step could cause us to be tied up again and I did not want to have my wrist go numb again. "If you don't mind can I untie him?"I asked Darius pointing to Seth. "Sure wake him up to." He answered. And I was led over to untie and wake him up.

Seth's pov:
To be honest getting knocked out on a rock floor was the best sleep I have had so far. I opened my eyes an...i gasped," I can see!" I shouted. Everyone looked at me with an excited smile but didn't move.I set up slowly realizing there was a few people I didn't know. Ek introduced me to everyone while they explained that they had to take us to their city farther in the cavern. I set quietly and studied their features especially Silka. Her straight black hair cascaded down her shoulder like a black waterfall and her eyes milked over made her look dangerous but beautiful like a strong snowleopard. The boys obviously where brothers. Manasseh had just finished making food and we all set down to eat and explain more things.

When I finished my food I quietly snuck away the interactions caused waves of emotions to go through me and I just needed to be alone. So I left. I find it funny that if you don't talk no one pays you any Attention but I was glad to be away from the ruckus. I walked for a solid five minutes when I found a underground heated pool about ten feet across. I took off my clothes, excited for the alone time and slipped in to the warm pool.
