A Year Later 

Pearl Harbor, Oahu, Hawaii, west of Honolulu

At a specific prison cell

We could see Kawakaze eating the food given to her by the American soldiers

After her capture her sword was confiscated and she became a prisoner of war for them and was taken to Pearl Harbor for question

Needless to say Kawakaze cooperated to them and they promised that she'll be released soon since she helped them and the Filipino rebels to get the Philippine back

Another reason why they take her to Pearl Harbor, Is Because Nagato announced that she is alive and betrays the empire by helping the allies and commanded every Japanese soldier incase she step foot on Japan to hunt and kill her down

Because of this The US Navy Military officials has decided when they won the war they'll set up a military base in Okinawa and move her there because she could be a great asset to them to which Kawakaze agreed to help them in exchange for preventing her Nation from falling apart

and then as she finished eating she saw a guard opening her cell and then the Guard spoke

Guard: Follow me Miss

and then Kawakaze followed the guard and after a few minutes of walking two soldiers came and gave her sword back, a samurai hat and a Brown cloak and from there the guard left and one of the soldiers spoke

Soldier: Japan has already surrendered and we are occupying Okinawa, we'll talk more about your mission there as we speak, but can you use your rigging ma'am?

Kawakaze: I would rather not sir there maybe Japanese soldiers there who might recognized me and plus I would like to hide my animal traits so I could not be recognized

Due to Kawakaze not using her rigging she lost her animal traits and lost half of her abilities as a shipgirl(Except for her immortality and could stand on water)

Soldier: I see 

and then The two soldiers boarded a ship with Kawakaze wearing the Brown cloak and putting the samurai hat on her head

3 Weeks later

Okinawa, Japan(Occupied by the US)

We could see Kawakaze surveying the city and watching the people mourning for some of there loved ones as they were used as meat shield or human bombs for the Japanese, making Kawakaze furious on her nations decision even more as they treated the Okinawan's as 2nd class Japanese citizens which isn't right

And so Kawakaze decided to help the Okinawans while she is hiding from the Japanese soldiers and authorities with The US military personnel's help

While she is doing this she was suddenly called by Fūjin(Wind God),  Raijin(Thunder God) and now Suijin(Water God) in her sleep and the three Gods thanked Kawakaze for using there gifts for doing the right thing and tells her that she is allowed to teach some people on how to learn the Thunderstorm Breathing Technique

And when Kawakaze asked on how will she know who she should teach the Gods told her this

If she is going to choose a trainee, she must give them a piece of paper, If the paper was cut in clean half, The Trainee will learn on how to do Wind breathing that Fūjin will show to that trainee in his/her dreams, If the Paper was struck by lightning and burned to ashes, The Trainee will learn on how to do Lightning breathing were Raijin will appear to the trainee in his/her dreams to teach it, If the Paper suddenly becomes wet and was torn into many pieces, The trainee will learn Water Breathing with Suijin teaching him/her as Wind, Thunder and Water are the main elements to learn Thunderstorm Breathing

For her to see who she will teach the, paper of the trainee must become wet but was cut in clean half even it's wet and the two half papers must be struck by lightning turning both to ashes

and from there Kawakaze started searching for students to be trained by the Gods and for the students that she will teach
