"Darling I'm not sure if you are feeling well. We have been walking in a circle for 6 minutes." Tom said looking concerned at Marcelline.
"Wait just one more time" she said and he nodded slowly. They made a turn and she thought hard of what she wanted. She wanted a place of security and privacy. She wanted a place where they could safely have their meetings.
Suddenly a door appeared on the left hand side and Tom watched in complete confusion. She walked toward to the door to open it but Tom looked hesitant. She grabbed his hand not noticing him tensing as she did so and dragged him inside.
Inside was an endless amount of books and a very large table in the middle with a fireplace. Tom looked around in amazement.
"It's called the Room of Requirement. It's also known as the-"
"Come and go room. I've read about it but never went searching" he said cutting her off.
"How did you find it?" He said.
"A magician never reveals their secrets" she said and he rolled his eyes but the amazement on his face never left. She liked seeing him like this. She liked seeing him so calm.
Suddenly his face dropped and he looked at Marcelline. "I have to show you something. And I only am going to show you. I am completely trusting you here. Marcelline if you break my trust you will live in complete hell." He said and she scrunched up her eyebrows at the weak threaten. He looked stressed. He looked upset which was shocking.
"I am going to show you my memory. I don't let no one into my mind Marcelline. I need you to make an unbreakable vow. I need you to vow that whatever you see in this memory will not leave between me and you" he said and she looked at him with concern.
She held their arms together as they made the vow. He looked a little less stressed after she did so but it never left him. He pulled out his wand and walked over to the pensieve that was in the corner. He put his wand to his temple and pulled out the memory that Marcelline was sort of scared to see.
He took her hand as they both stick their heads in the memory. Suddenly they were falling in a swirling motion. It felt as if they were underwater but they landed peacefully on the ground.
Marcelline watched as the actions unfolded. She watched as his so called Uncle told him how his stupid mother fell in love with that muggle Tom Riddle Sr. He told him how she fed him a love potion every night and that eventually it caught up and he left her. She could feel how infuriated Tom was. Everything that he had believed was wrong. She watched as he marched over and took his wand and hurried off into the house that his suppose father lived in. They followed him and she watched as the anger never left his face. This was different. He looked villainous. He looked murderous.
And that's just what he did. He busted through the door and saw an older man who looked just like Tom and he knew that Morfin was not lying. She watched as Tom killed them all. Every single person in that house. Not saying one word but releasing all this pain and anger he had built up onto them.
When he left the house he had a different expression on his face. He looked relieved and numb at the same time. She watched as he placed a spell on him to make him think he killed him and left him with the murder wand and Tom left. Everything got swirly again and suddenly they were both staring at the pensieve.
She looked up at him with wide eyes. He looked completely numb to what he had just seen and done not so long ago. She don't know what over came her but suddenly she embraced him in a tight hug. He was conceived under a love potion. He would never feel love.
He let her. He let her feel sorry for him. She was a smart girl and he knew she knew what that meant. She didn't react like he thought she would. He assumed she would run away. He just murdered a whole family without a single hesitation; and here she was, embracing him.
"I'm so sorry Tom" she said quietly at the name that reminded him of his Muggle father.
She let go and he looked at her face. He knew that this connected them even more. He just let her see a side of him that he hid so well. His anger, his vulnerability. They all were out in the open in that memory. She didn't look at him like he was weak though. She looked at him no different. Tom knew then, that he could not let her go. She was the only one to understand him.
