-"Hello Tommy" Marcelline said sitting down next to Tom in the library. "Don't call me that" he said gritting his teeth.
"Don't be so violent. I have another surprise. Take it as a birthday gift" she said with a smirk.
"Marcelline whatever it is you better take it back. I am not accepting no gifts for such a stupid day-"
"Will you just shut up and follow me" she said and he raised his eyebrows. How dare she talk to him like that? He thought of ways he could torture that pretty little mouth once she told him to shut up, but the big doey green eyes and that perfect little face kept him from doing so.
He sighed and got up and followed her. She didn't say a word but walked fast which is surprising because of how small she is. "Marcelline why are you running"
"I am just excited. I did something. And your gonna like it" she said with a sparkle in her eye and Tom wanted to melt right there and stare at her face forever. He doesn't know why he acts like this around her. He assumes it's just his teenage boy hormones that he hates.
She led him down the halls of Hogwarts with a playful grin on her face. He couldn't help but admire her. He sees the way other people look at her and he can't help but do the same. She was so extraordinarily beautiful. She makes Tom weak and for that she cannot be a enemy. She must be an ally or she must not live at all. Tom cannot have someone who makes him so vulnerable work against him.
She ended up at the Room of Requirement and grabbed his hand yanking him in. He hated how she did anything she wanted with him. She touched him like she could whenever she wanted to, but reality is Tom would let her do whatever she wanted.
"Close your eyes" she said.
"No"
"Oh come on Tom. You know I'm not gonna do anything."
"I'm not closing my eyes" he said with a blank face and she rolled her eyes.
"You are seriously no fun" she said and walked over to the corner and grabbed what looked like a fake severed arm. She handed it to him and he raised one eyebrow.
She pulled out her want and pointed it to the forearm of the fake arm. She started talking in this Latin Language and suddenly Tom felt the arm heating up. He looked down and started seeing the arm turn more and more red. What looked like an outline of some sort started to appear. He stared as it got darker and darker and then he saw it. This was the mark that he had drew so long ago. How she seen it he does not know but she kept chanting in that language and suddenly it turned black and was permanently there. It looked like it was moving sort of. The snake coming out of the skulls mouth.
She looked up at him and he looked up too very well surprised. "You made your own spell?" He said looking at her like she had 7 heads. He was so baffled at what he had just seen.
"Well I figured since we were going to be leaving Hogwarts soon that we need a way to contact each other. This mark will show true loyalty. It will allow you to know where your followers are once they call apon you." She said pressing her wand against the skull and suddenly Tom felt a tingle throughout his body. Like he was being summoned somewhere.
"This is brilliant" he said with a smile he couldn't hide.
"Happy early birthday, my lord" she said and his eyes popped up. She held a smirk on her face that he wanted to destroy.
"I'm not calling you that. Think of it as a gift back. I'm still calling you Tom." She said. He flared his nostrils. He had came up with a name that meant fear and she would rather call him this muggle name?
"Fine" he said giving in. He always did when it came to her.
"Are you gonna bare one?" He said looking at the mark. It was so dark and would look perfect on her skin.
She raised her eyebrows at him. "Would that make you happy Riddle?" She said with a slight smirk and he stepped closer to her dropping the arm. They were so close they could hear their breathing. "I want you to show me how loyal you are." He said slowly. She never stopped looking in his eyes. God they were beautiful.
She's the one who broke away to hand Tom the book she wrote down the spell in. He didn't look away when she moved. He stayed in the same place. It felt like he was glued to that very space. She handed him the book and waited patiently for him to read over it. She knew this is all worth it. She knew that this is the life she is chosen. She was okay with it.
He pulled out his wand swiftly and started muttering the Latin words once he read over them. He placed the tip of his wand on her pale forearm and at once it started burning. It was a burning sensation she had not expected but did not falter. Good things come with pain.
The redness appeared along with the trace of the mark. It felt like something was clawing on the inside trying to get out. It itched, it burned, but she loved it. She loved the pain and she would do it over and over again. The black ink came quickly and took the form. Tom was absolutely mesmerized on how beautiful it looked on her pale skin. He dropped his wand but kept his eyes on her arm.
He saw the redness. He saw the black ink. He saw the skull. All this to show how loyal she is. Where had she been all his life. It overwhelmed him. Something took over his body as he smelt her perfume again. Blood Orange. It was like all his senses went into shock and he didn't have his body under control no more as he lifted her arm to his face and started kissing around the mark at once. She couldn't help but gasp as his lips met her skin. A tingle went down her spine.
He kissed lightly on all the places it looked like it hurt. He felt weak as he did so but couldn't stop. The mark on her skin showing her true loyalty remains with him and her smell, his head felt dizzy. He kissed up higher and leaned up taking his finger to hold her chin, he wanted to see her eyes. Her green eyes that are now his favorite color.
"Did it hurt?" He asked searching for any type of pain in her eyes but she had none.
"I would do it again." She said. Her voice sounded like candy, so sweet an innocent. How could she remain so calm and collected knowing what she just signed herself over to him. How could she smile at him like he didn't just murder his whole family and would do it again with no hesitation. How could she look so beautiful. How could he allow himself to feel like this?
"My loyalty remains with you, my lord" she said. Her lips so bright and pink. Tom couldn't help but stare at her. It took everything in him to turn around and walk out of the room. He knew if he didn't he would do something he would regret.
