"Take deep breaths." Caroline says.

Josie nods and does what her mom told her to do, she takes deep breaths while squeezing her mother's hand."Mom are you sure these exercises work?"

Caroline nods and looks at her watch, "Yes I'm sure. If they didn't, we wouldn't be doing them sweetheart."

Josie groans as she holds the squat position as best as she can. She groans when her legs start hurting,"How much longer?" She asks her mom.

"Just five more seconds Jo." Her mom replies.

"This feels like the longest five seconds of my life." Josie says squeezing her mom's hand harder.

"It'll be longer on the delivery table honey. And done." Caroline says pressing the button on the watch.

Josie sighs and Caroline helps her sit down. "Mom I'm so tired."

"I know but these exercises will help when you are on the deliver bed. You want a smooth delivery right?"

Josie pouts rubbing her stomach and her bracelet starts glowing right after. "Yeah but I guess baby Mikaelson doesn't want to have one. The baby hates me."

Caroline chuckles and plants a kiss on the brunettes head. "She or he doesn't hate you."

Josie reaches for her mom's hand and the blonde helps her stand, "It sure feels like it sometimes. I can't see my feet." She says looking at her bump that seems to be getting bigger.

"It's natural sweetie. You look great." Caroline says as she helps Josie sit on the couch.

She walks over to the kitchen and grabs the jar of pickles for Josie. She opens it before walking over to sit with the brunette and hands the whole jar to to her.

She accepts it gratefully before grabbing one of the smallest ones and takes a bite out of it."I miss Hope." She says sadly, she's working on keeping the crying to a minimum but it's hard.

"She said she will be home later sweetie, she won't be gone forever." Caroline says trying to make her feel better.

"I know." She says, her lip jutting outwards thinking about the auburnette.

"Do you want to call her?" Caroline asks, she can see the tears threatening to fall from her daughter's eyes.

"I don't want to interrupt her at work. I know she's busy." Josie says taking another bite of her pickle.

"Yeah well the phone is already ringing." Her mom says handing it to the brunette.

"Mom! When did you call her on my phone." She says putting down the pickle jar.

"I was already dialing her number when you said you missed her." She says shrugging. She hands it to the brunette and stands up.

"I have to make a phone call myself. Gotta check in with this new recruit to make sure she's doing alright. You need a break from the exercises anyways but when I get back we are back on it." She says pointing at Josie while giving her a serious look.

Josie sighs before she nods in response. Her mom walks out of the room and into the guest room to give the brunette some privacy.

Josie holds the phone to her ear as soon as the auburnette picks up the phone.

"Hey baby." Josie hears the woman on the other side of phone and a smile makes its way onto her face.

"Hey babe!" She replied happily loving the sound of Hope's voice, she hasn't heard it since last night."What are you doing right now, I miss you."
