Chapter 4

4 months into the pregnancy

"Hello. How can I help you two?" The older woman at the front desk asks the couple.

"Hi we have an appointment with Dr. Salvatore." Josie says as she watches the woman look at something on her computer.

"Name?" The woman asks.

"Mikaleson." Josie replies looking at Hope squeezing her hand. The auburn haired girl smiles before bringing her hand to her lips, planting a small kiss.

"Ah yes her we go. Josette for prenatal care. Alright Dr. Gilbert-Salvatore will be with you in a minute." She says smiling at them.

"Okay thank you." Josie says pulling Hope over to the waiting room.

"Baby aren't you excited! We get to see how baby Mikaleson is doing." Josie says once they take a seat.

Hope chuckles, "Of course I am babe." She puts her hand on the brunettes stomach. "I can't wait but since this took so long I'm going to make sure we call earlier because you need an appointment once a month, just like with Freya."

"Yes yes and that will happen." Josie says kissing the older girl on the cheek.

"For Mikaleson?" A nurse announces.

Hope and Josie stand and walk over to her. The nurse smiles,"Right this way." She says walking away.

She leads them over to the prenatal unit  and opens up a door. They all walk inside and Hope lets Josie sit on the exam table while she stands next to it holding her hand.

"Okay the doctor will be with you shortly." The nurse says smiling at Hope before walking out of the room and closing the door.

Josie raises an eyebrow at that but she doesn't pay attention to it right now, she'll worry about that later.

She takes a look at the room. There's a bunch of pregnancy pamphlets, pictures, and posters on the wall and counters.

Hope walks over to grab a pamphlet. "Hmm, babe are you going to breast feed?" She asks.

Josie shrugs,"I don't know yet, it seems weird to think about now."

Hope chuckles and puts the small book in her pocket."Well I'm going to keep this just in case." She walks over to the brunette and her hand naturally moves to her stomach.

"We are about to see how big you've gotten."

Josie gasps offended. Hope quickly assured her. "I'm talking about the baby. I haven't noticed not one change about your body."

Josie rolls her eyes at the girl's response."Yeah right Hope. You don't think I've noticed that when we have sex you spend a lot more time on my boobs."

"Whaaatt. I do- I do not." Hope replies.

Josie gives her an unconvinced look. "Yeah sure babe, it's okay if you like the change."

Hope smiles while looking at the girl's breast now. "I appreciate the change but I love your body just the way it is, if it changes again I'll still love it."

"You say that now until the time comes when I start waddling like penguin and I'm not able to see my feet." Josie chuckles.

"Not true. I will love you no matter what, now stop complaining." She replies and kisses her on the cheek. "Besides I have a way of getting you too see your feet when that happens."

Josie raises a brow in question. "And that would be?"

"I'll just put both of your gorgeous legs on my shoulders when I'm giving it to you in missionary and boom! You'll see them that way." Hope says chuckling.
