Chapter 17

(After Hope left)

Caroline is running her fingers through Josie's hair as the woman cries in her arms.

Once Josie was able to calm down a little, she pulled away to look at her mother,"mom," she cries, getting choked up again.

Caroline frowns,"Take your time honey." She says rubbing her back.

Josie takes some deep breathes,"I hurt her." She says sadly."I got so angry and I hurt her."

"I'm sure you didn't mean to sweetheart." Caroline replies, that doesn't sound like Josie so she can only assume it was her hormones messing with her already heightened emotions.

Josie shakes her head as another sob wracks her body,"It doesn't change anything mom."

Caroline shushes her and continues relaxing her,"You never know jo. Give it some time." She whispers.

Josie doesn't think so, she saw the hurt in Hope's eyes, it looked like she would never be forgiven and that thought alone made her sob harder.

After another two minutes of sobbing, she pulls away until she's completely out of her moms arms,"I need," she sniffles and wipes her eyes,"Time to think." She says standing up to walk toward her room.

Caroline sighs knowing her daughter is just going to go cry in private."Okay I'll be down here honey."

When she hears her daughter enter her room she pulled out her phone and clicked on a contact number.

She doesn't have to wait for long as the call is picked up on the second ring. "Caroline, I didn't know I would be getting a call from you so soon." Klaus's voice sounds from the other side of the phone.

Caroline pinks at his flirtatious voice,"That's not why-" he cuts her off.

"No need to explain love, I'm sure we can pick up where we left off. I believe you wanted me to do that thing I do with my ton-"

"Klaus!" Caroline says effectively cutting him off before he could say more, she looks upstairs to make sure her daughter isn't listening while he chuckles.

When the warmth of her cheeks cool down she groans before saying,"This isn't about me. This is about Hope and Josie."

He stood up at the mention,"What is it?"

Caroline sighs running her fingers through her blonde hair,"The baby caused a spike in Josie's emotions and she ended up hurting Hope."

Before klaus can ask Caroline speaks again,"Hope is fine she just left a few minutes ago and didn't mention where she was going or when she is coming back. Josie is a wreck without Hope and she feels so guilty. That's why I called you, I'm hoping you can talk to her while I talk to Josie."

Klaus sighs as he thinks,"This is a problem. My daughter can be a stubborn one but I'm sure deep down she knows Josette would never do such a thing. It's the pregnancy." He says running his hand over his face.

"Hayley had quite the temper and being pregnant with a tribrid can make those emotions..stronger." He sighs getting flashbacks of their arguments before he exhales deeply,"Nonetheless I'll locate my daughter, nothing a tracking spell can't do, I'll make sure Freya assists in the matter."

Caroline sighs in relief,"Thank you."

"You're welcome love." He says as a small smirk curls his lips,"So when are you coming back over to the Mikaelson manor. I would love for you to spend another night again, we had a splendid time if you recall?" He says raising a brow even though he can't see her.

Caroline's cheeks flush and she groans, really hoping her daughter isn't listening to this conversation,"Would you stop it before there isn't a next time." She says sternly.
