FANART IS NOT MINE

[Max POV]

I paced around in front of El's bedroom door. She was looking for Billy, along with Mrs. Driscoll, and the Holloways. She shouldn't be doing this, the more and more she uses her powers the sicker she gets. She kept throwing up last night, almost non stop, she barely got any time to rest, who knows what could be happening to her right now...

[Third Person]

"Max, you need to relax." Mike said.

"What if she gets brain damage or something?" Max said continuing to pace back and forth.

"Oh shit, is that, like, a real thing?" Lucas asked with his hand stuffed into a box of cereal.

"No, it's not. Look Max, I get it, you're nervous, so maybe you're just rambling and don't actually know what you're talking about." Mike said.

"Oh, and you do?"

"No-" The two broke into an argument while Nancy was heard in the background on the phone.

"Yes from the Hawkins post, I-I called a couple days ago about the-Yes, yes, umm...I was just...following up to see if anything else went missing, or if-okay. I'm sorry to bother-" The person on the other end hung up causing the brunette to sigh, she too hung up and walked over to the counter standing next to Jonathan.

"Anything?" He asked, she shook her head in response. The two arguing teens from before then walked over.

"Okay, can you guys settle a debate for us? Who do you think should decide El's limits? Max? Or Eleven?" Mike asked.

"The way you frame that is such bullshit." Max said.

"It's not bullshit Max, I'm trying to tell you that you shouldn't try and control Els use of powers."

"I'm not! No...no! I'm not!"

"These past few days you've been trying to tell El whether she can or can't use her powers, it's her decision Max."

"I'm just trying to help her, because she could be risking her life for no reason."

"Risking her life?"

"Yes!"

"For no reason?"

"Yes! Are you deaf?!"

"Max, the flayed are out there doing god knows what."

"Killing...Flaying." Lucas said.

"Transforming into monsters." Will added.

"You don't need to worry about her Max, she knows her ability better than all of us." Nancy said.

"No! I mean-yes! You're right, she does. But that's not the issue. Just look at her. These past few days she's been getting sicker and sicker, and the more and more she uses her powers the worse she gets, hell! Last night she was puking her guts out nonstop, not once did she get to sleep, not one break since this crap started, and now she could be getting worse, it's hurting her, can't you assholes see that?! And she won't give herself a break because she feels obligated to do something, she feels like the only thing we can depend on, like our only weapon, but we can find other ways, if we'd just try, instead of having such high expectations for her! What would happen to us if she were gone?!" I looked around waiting for a response. "...Exactly, we can't depend on only her, we at least need to help, not make her do all the work! Because, if we let her keep going, if we keep pushing her, making her sicker, something bad will happen to her! And I don't want that! I love El! I love her and I don't want to lose her...I can't lose her again...I can't lose anyone else..." As she trailed everyone around her pressed their lips together and swallowed hard. The redhead stood there shaking a bit, feeling like she might've went too far.
