Max POV

"Look Max, we know it's hard to believe-" Lucas said

"Hell yeah it is!"

"I mean, when I first saw it I didn't believe it, Lucas didn't either." Eli said

"Yeah, even though El literally used her powers right in front of us, we still doubted it."

"It's crazy to know she saved me, and, I never got to thank her for it." Will said

"Sometimes I think she's still out there, I hope she is." Mike said

"I want to believe you guys but...I don't know okay."

"We understand it's hard to believe, we didn't expect you to either, but the number one rule in our party is Friends Don't Lie, alright. So what we're telling you is the truth." Dustin said

"I mean, I'll try to believe you but, I still don't think it's real. At least, you don't make it sound like it is."

"But it is, alright?" Dustin said

"How can we get you to believe us?" Lucas asked

"I don't know, prove it."

"We can't."

"How come?"

"It's not that easy." Eli said

"...Fine, okay...but I swear to god if this is some stupid prank-"

"We promise it's not, Max." I crossed my arms and leaned back against the wall beginning to tap my foot on the floor.

"No pressure, kay?" Mike said

"Yeah...okay."

"...So umm, while we're still here, anyone wanna go, play some games?" Dustin asked trying to lighten the mood.

"Umm, I don't have any money."

"Well we do." Lucas said

"What?"

"We can share." Dustin said

"No, it's your money-"

"Max..." Eli interrupted

"I really don't want you guys using your money on me."

"We insist." Mike said, I sat there for a moment then sighed and nodded, smiles showed up on everyone's faces, Eli came up to me and pulled me to my feet along with everyone else and guided me out of the back room into the arcade, the boys went over to get some tokens for the games leaving me and Eliza alone.

"You okay?" She asked looking at me zoning out.

"Huh, oh...yeah I think so."

"You sure?"

"Yeah, I'm fine." Mike walked over with a hand full of tokens and took half the pile handing them to me. "No, I can't take all of that."

"Why not?"

"You paid for it, it should should be yours."

"Not when I paid for you to have it."

"Mike, I can't."

"Please, your the best at Dig Dug, I would hate for you to sit out."

"You think so?"

"Totally." I smiled weakly and took the tokens from him.

We spent the rest our day at the arcade switching back and forth through games, bosting our scores and buying more tokens when we ran out. Once everyone started running low on tokens we huddled around different machines taking turns playing, when we got to dragons lair it was my turn.
