AMON POV

The feel of soft curves pressing against me was what woke me up the next morning. Opening my eyes, I found Raven pressing her chest against my side, her left arm wrapped tightly around my waist and her legs entangled with mine. She was still sound asleep. Oh for fucks sake. The things she does with her innocent, unconscious mind is going to be the death of me.

Trying my best to detangle our limbs without waking her, I went into the bathroom to ready myself for the day. Today is the Kings Ball. The last minute preparations that needed to be done I had to oversee. Last night

Raven agreed to attend the Ball as my fiance. She would need a dress and would have to look the part of a demon nobel.

She would have to disguise her blue eye to red. All demons have red eyes. With the exception of the Valacs and the sorcerers. The Valacs cobalt blue eyes are passed down through the generations and the sorcerers have green eyes according the Marax. I've never seen one so I won't know. I don't know where my green eyes came from.

Raven's blue eye is a give away to her blood line to the older demon nobels. Only the council members and certain demon nobels are knowledgeable about the Kingdom and the heirs. She's not ready to take the throne and we aren't ready for the demon relm to know that the Valac has an heir.

Turning off the shower, I wrapped the towel around my hips and and went to get changed. Normally I would change in my room but with Raven sleeping there, I didn't want to risk it in case she woke up and I wasn't fully clothed. Marax had started putting my outfit for the next day in the bathroom at night.

Raven would have to go to the human relm in order to get the things she needed for tonight. I will have to take her since she can't open craters or portals. I don't be able to stay with her though. Marax will have to stay with her in my stead.

After changing and brushing my teeth, I reentered the bedroom. Raven was awake by now. Sitting on the bed, she was trying to releaae her hair from its confines of plaits. She looked up when i sat on the bed next to her.

"Morning little Raven."

"Morning. Another busy day today?"

"Just some last minute preparations. You won't need to go to the dungeons today to train."

"Okay. Then I'm going to just spend time with him."

"Actually you can't. Remember today is the Ball. So you have to get ready for that."

She looked at me in a way that was asking if I was stupid. "Get ready how? Don't I have clothes to go already?"

"You have everyday clothes. Not clothing to attend a ball with all the nobel demons in Raum in attendance. That is an entirely different outfit."

She sighed and flopped back on the bed. "Ami you know I hate dressing up."

Chuckling I laid next to her. She really did hate putting on too much clothes ever since she was a child. But even then, I always ensured that she was fully dressed. She turned on her side so that we were face to face. "I know little Raven. But this is important. It is for the Kingdom that your bloodline created."

Groaning, she slid lower on the bed, burying her head against my chest. I want her there with me. Other than to see the magic that has to be performed tonight, I want Raven by my side. Tonight is the start of her appearance in the Demon world as well as my bride to be.

"Where am I going to get the clothes to wear Ami?" She mumbled against my chest.

"In the human relm. The more advanced one than the village you grew up in. Remember I always told you that there was a life outside of the village. And today you will get to see it."
