Chapter Ten

"Fox, mom, and dad are at the palace!" Whilst in Cassius's arms, Riah passed out due to exhaustion and pain. By the time she woke up a week had passed and she had immediately thrown up out the window.

"I have to speak to elders now!" She quickly got up and was about to fall when Cassius and Fox caught her.

"Whoa there princess, you're going to want to sit down for this one." Cassius said nervously as he looked over to Fox and Lillian.

"Should you tell her Lillian or should I?" Fox asked looking deadass at Cassius.

"Um, well, here's the thing Riah-bug, would you like to say the rest, Fox?" Fox shook his head and let out a laugh, he walked over to his sister's bedside pushing Cassius to the floor, and spoke.

"You see Aza, you're pregnant and we aren't sure how far along yet." Riah's eyes widened as she heard the words that came out of her brother's mouth. She was pregnant?! How had she not known before? Is the baby okay?!

"Thank the elders you and the baby are okay, we as a group have talked it through and even though you are the strongest, we've decided to keep you here while we go into the palace and get your parents." Lillian said as Cassius dusted himself off and nodded his head in agreement.

"But—" Just as she was about to speak the three elders walked in and interrupted them.

"She has to go, you need the eldest child," Hanjin stated as he stroked his beard.

"What do you mean by 'eldest'? We're twins aren't we?" Fox asked while sitting down, he was eating for an answer when Cassius spoke.

"We have a pair of twins in our clan, one of them is a few minutes older than the other, maybe it's the same case? Am I right?" Hanjin chuckled and patted Cassius's shoulder.

"That you are boy, that you are," He smiled and continued to speak, "now we can prevent feather harm to the child with a simple spell. Everyone she loves must be there for that is the key to the spell." Hanjin waved over to everyone as he walked outside, he drew a large circle big enough to fit everyone in, and they all joined hands and stepped inside the circle. One by one they started chanting in Greek.

"Είμαστε ένα γιατί όλοι αγαπάμε αυτή τη μητέρα και το παιδί παρακαλούμε τους Θεούς και τη θεά να τους προστατεύουν και τους δύο. (We are one because we all love this mother and child we ask the Gods and the goddess to protect them both.)" A light surrounded Riah as a protective shield formed around both the baby and herself.

"I feel amazing knowing you both will be okay while we fight alongside each other princess." Cassius said with a smile on his face, he felt all warm inside knowing he'd be a father. His raven black hair glided in the wind as he and Riah flew off, his smile was ear to ear just by the thought of having a family with the love of his life. By the end of the night, they had found out that Raih was four weeks pregnant. 

"So what is the game plan?" After a few days of setting up camp in Arcaina's forest, Vanessa asked as she ate some truffle widow bites that Riah made. They are little truffle balls of sweet milk chocolate and spicy deliciousness.

"Oh my god, these are amazing Riah! You've outdone yourself!!" Pixie stated while she almost melted in her seat, the taste of a widow bite is creamy and gooey, everyone took one.

"Thank you, it's something I learned with aunt Missy." Just then a woman appeared smiling.

"I was summoned?" The twins got up and ran over and hugged her.

"We missed you! Where'd you come from?" She giggled and spoke.

"When I got home you two were nowhere to be found so I did a locational spell that I learned from my father and I found you all in the sky kingdom. But by the time I got there, Hanjin said you all left. And I heard a certain someone is pregnant??" Missy looks directly at Cassius before smiling at him.

"Anyway, congratulations are in order!" When Skyler and Tara walked in they saw their mother and they ran embracing her tightly.

"Momma!" Skyler said as her mother embraced her and Tara, she rubbed their head and tears fell from her face.

"My darling girls, oh how much I've missed you, Skyler how are your studies, any boys? Tara dear, how are you and Lillian?" Tara blushed as she spoke.

"Momma!! How'd you know?" Missy let out a loud laugh and answered.

"You do know I wrote your father the whole time I was taking care of the twins right? He told me you found someone and she was a girl, so I just put two and two together." They all laughed and enjoyed the time they had together. Riah was having trouble sleeping for in just a day they'd be going to war, they have been training twenty days straight with two hours of resting time.

By this day Riah had the littlest baby bump, it was adorable, Cassius was still hesitant about letting Riah fight but the elders assured him that the spell is unbreakable even after birth. She was sitting outside when Fox walked out and sat down next to her talking.

"No matter how tomorrow goes sis, I'll always love you okay?" Riah looked at her brother and smacked the back of his head smiling.

"Don't you go talking like that!! I'd never let anything bad happen to any of you." Cassius walked out and sat next to Riah smiling.

"Our next move is to sneak into the palace and get Riah to that tree, maybe there, we can get your parents back." They all let out laughs as they got up and tried to go to sleep for soon laid ahead was regret, loss, and war.
