Stacy drove us to a pub in her aubergine-colored hatchback.
As we stepped out of the car, I started to feel a sharp pain in my spleen.
I wanted to throw up but, I didn't want to embarrass Stacy so, so I composed myself.
I stared at my cousin for a while and concluded that she was a beautiful person.
Her hair was long and wavy and she looked cute in her overcoat. Then, I started remembering how long it took for her to make me look good.
She gave me a green sleeveless gown, green stiletto heels, blue dangly earrings, and silver charm bracelets. She made my hair into a chignon and pressed some foundation unto my face.
"Wait up!" I said running to catch up with her. I felt a sharp pain in my upper arm as I pushed through the center of two people.
One wearing an anorak and the other wearing a leather jacket. Then, I saw a thick red liquid dripping down my elbow and finally resting on my cuticle.
I watched as it grew thicker and thicker by the minute. I turned around and looked sideways before I continued walking. I started to feel my uvula growing tighter. I felt my lungs collapse. My trachea kept contracting as I took each step.
Then, I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned and saw her staring at me:
"What's up?" She said and looked at my face."Oh my God, you look horrible. Your mascara is running. Come on let me apply some concealer." She offered, shaking her long hair this way and that.
"What the heck Kenzie? How did you get injured?" She said when she grabbed my arm.
"I don't know. I think someone cut me with a knife."
"Let's go in." She said blinking rapidly.

The inside of the pub was awesome. There were a lot of flashing lights.
There was a banding playing right in front of us. The lead singer grabbed the microphone and said:
"I just got word that we have a singer in the house."
"I wonder who that is?" I said.
"I think I know her," Stacy replied.
"Please shine a light on her." He went on.
Almost immediately the light shone on me. I gasped and sent Stacy a look meant to kill.
"I don't think I can.....""Go up there." She urged.
I wanted to argue but, I didn't. The lead singer held out his hand and I took it. I got on the stage and he asked:
"What do you play? Brass, string, percussion, or woodwind? We have all."
"I don't need an instrument. I've got vocals."
I took a deep breath and said "every guy, grab a girl 'cause it's time to get close. Can I get some of 'em beat?" I said and almost immediately the violin, saxophone, and tuba started playing. Then I started to sing:
I don't need a mandolin
I don't need no banjo
I don't need no castanets
I don't need no maracas
All I need is in my heart
My only comfort
When we are apart
Every guy grab a girl
This song will make her heart twirl
Hold on to her tight
Make her smile shine bright
Love is not a sin
As long as you know what it means
So grab a girl
Make I twirl
Love is like a river
So every believer
Grab a girl
Make her twirl
Grab a girl
Make her twirlI stopped and looked up. Everyone started applauding. I smiled and got off the stage. Stacy gave me a high five and the band continued playing.
