noun ~ a feeling of reassurance and relaxation following release fromdistress or apprehension

"So..." I exhaled.

"So?" Sean repeated.

I smirked, nudging him as we made our way back. "What are you going to do for the rest of the day?"

We were halfway back home now, having walked for nearly an hour. My feet were starting to feel sore and I felt lethargic. The energy and promise of a good day had long since worn off, and now I just wanted to sit down with my feet up. Preferably on something comfortable.

"I'm going to go train. You know, like normal." He snorted.

I grumbled, shaking my head. "All that exercise, how do you even sleep at night knowing you have to do it again?"

"Very well actually. The exercise helps calm me down." He teased.

I grunted. "What about ?"

"She'll most likely be with Molly." He shrugged.

"Not Calida?" I wondered.

He stiffened, loosing a beat in his steps. He gently shook his head, a small sigh escaping his lips.

"She tried but Calida wouldn't let her in her room." He muttered.

I felt pity settle in my stomach and dropped my head to follow my footsteps. We stayed silent for another ten minutes before I started to grow weary. My feet ached with every step, my breaths short and painful. I wasn't even half way through this pregnancy and I was already exhausted.

"Come on, you're taking forever." Sean groaned.

I shot him a glare, stumbling in the process and tripping over a root. I cursed at it, kicking fallen leaves in its direction as though they will take my place of retributions.

"I hurt." I eventually groaned. "It's tiring."

"You wanted to come for a walk." He raised a finger to point at me mockingly.

"That was when I was in a good mood." I grumbled. "Tired Nova is a different Nova."

"I know she is." He laughed. "Come on, jump on."

I eyed him curiously but he turned and bent his legs. Running my eyes up the mountain I would have to climb, I debated my options. I could lose all dignity and have Sean carry me, or I can walk another half an hour in pain.

Of course, smart me chose the first option.

Scaling Sean's body, I held onto his shoulders, pushing my right foot against his hands he had prepared like a step. Once his hand caught my foot and I jumped, his other hand snaked around to grab hold of my knees. Adjusting me, I squealed when he finally secured his arms under my legs and began to walk.

"What's it like up there?" He chuckled.

"Not as high as Phoenix, but he always carries me like a baby." I commented before realising how strange that sounded.

I laughed and Sean joined in, his laugh vibrating my chest. "I did not know I was in such royal presence."

"Ah, well you must learn your etiquette and behave." I tutted.

He laughed again but continued to walk through the wilderness. Conversation was light for a while as I gazed at all the wildlife and wonderful plants. It was the long silences in between that had me itching to speak to him about what was on my mind.

"Go on, say it." Sean sighed.

"Say what?" I mumbled.

"You're figeting. What do you want to say?"
