Ayato strolled to the classroom and found Thoma sitting alone in the classroom playing games.

He pulled out a chair and watched his deskmate tapping furiously on his screen.

“Woah so pro, so pro,” Ayato clapped, Thoma paused the game and turned, “Are you mocking me?”

“How is that mocking? I’m obviously cheering you up.”

“............”

There is one student in their class, called Lumine. She is like the queen of gossip in the whole school, she knows everything. No one knows where she got the information from but almost everything she says is accurate.

She ran into the classroom and announced, “Sara is not teaching our class anymore, we are having a new homeroom teacher. I heard that he was transferred from an elite school in Liyue, pretty epic. His name is Zhongli.”

“You dare to eavesdrop on the teachers’ conversation? So brave, I admire you,” Ayato chuckled.

Lumine answered, “I have too if we all want firsthand news.”

Lumine was right after all, when class started. A tall young-looking man came into their class.

No one really has any objections towards him, it’s just that he talks way too much.

“Remember when you get home, try to do the questions and if you don’t understand, you can always message me. You can also ask your parents but they are also probably tired from working too, right? And it might rain anytime soon, so remember to bring an umbrella and don’t run in the rain or else you will catch a cold. Also remember to drink lots of water to hydrate yourself.”

“............”

Thoma hasn't found the time to tutor his deskmate, it’s not like he wants to either. He was about to go back to his nap but then, Zhongli knocked on his table.

“Thoma, you didn’t get enough sleep last night?”

Thoma did not answer.

“I looked through your exam scripts and found out that you are actually quite clever, so may I trouble you to tutor Ayato?”

Thoma “.............”

With Zhongli standing there, Thoma can’t really refuse. He leaned over to a certain someone and started, “You drew the diagram wrongly, you won’t be able to understand no matter how hard you try. Draw again.”

“How?” Ayato seemed to enjoy this.

Seeing that the two bros were happily studying together, Zhongli walked away.

Thoma waited for him to leave the classroom completely and then went back to resting his head into his arms.

Ayato knew that he shouldn’t disturb his deskmate, so he quietly went back to his game.

Zhongli is going back in a few minutes for an evening-study session.

Lumine then stood at the class podium and slammed her palm onto the desk. “Everybody!”

All eyes on her.

She then signaled Aether in front to switch off the lights. “Do you know about the ghost in our dormitory?”

“Damn it, why are they dancing like this? It’s cute but distracting.” Ayato frowned, Thoma leaned over and say, “You can just change it into 2D.”

“These past few nights, students claimed that they heard strange knocking,” as Lumine spoke, her voice grew softer. “I heard that it’s been roaming on the first floor, but last night, it went to the second floor. I heard the knocking with my own ears. When I went to open the door, there was no one and then I saw a shadow go by.”
