Chapter 15: Does this count as meeting your family?

“I heard there is a fight near the Dawn Winery?” Thoma and Kaeya overheard some aunties near their shops gossiping.

“Right, remember Kiana? I heard that she is there right now.” (A/N: Kiana is just a random name that pops up in my mind and forgot to mention, Kiana is Thoma’s Godmother.)

“Aunt Kiana? She just sent me a text that she is going back with some food,” Kaeya raised an eyebrow and scrolled through his messages with her.

Thoma absently mindly walked out, Kaeya looked at him confused and followed him anyway.

“Hey, calm down, Aunt Kiana is going to be fine. She is very strong.” Kaeya tried to reassure his friend but it didn't seem to work.

He got a call from Ayato and picked up almost immediately, “Talk after I’m finished fighting,” Thoma said and hung up.

Ayato planned to go to Mondstadt to give his housewife a surprise visit, his thought of “I’m gonna give Thoma a surprise appearance, and then he is going to be so happy and moved. And then, we will hold hands and walk down the street together romantically” shattered into pieces.

Thoma and Kaeya reached Dawn Winery and saw a crowd, Kiana caught both of them and ran, “What are two doing here?”

“To save you,” Thoma said.

“What the fuck…….Why didn’t you stop him?” Kiana went to look at Kaeya.

“Do you think he will listen?”

Kiana “...........”

Kiana wanted to order some food to bring them to Kaeya’s place when she found out that her Godson came back, she wanted to celebrate. But the order got somehow mixed up and they refused to return her money nor give her the correct order.

She pinched her forehead and shook her head, she looked up and saw a group of people running towards them.

“Damn more people?” She sighed.

“Come! Let’s give them a proper beating!” Kaeya cheered, Thoma nodded and Kiana immediately shouted at them, “You two can fight over my dead body!”

She squinted her eyes and saw the group of people crashing into the other group she was fighting with, “..........”

“Who are they? Why does their leader look so damn familiar?” Kaeya watched too.

Thoma followed their gaze and frowned, he cursed internally.

“Eat more, is it good? You want more?” By the time Thoma came back to his senses, he was sitting at Aunt Kiana’s dinner table. He watched as Kiana picked up a piece of chicken and placed it in the bowl of the person next to him.

Ayato thanked her many times, “The chicken is really good, it’s not that greasy and it is seasoned very well.”

Kiana was delighted by the praise and added more meat into his bowl, “No need to thank me!”

Thoma “........”

Thoma placed down his chopsticks and leaned back, Kaeya was overjoyed, “Just now, you were quite impressive! Where did you find so many people?”

“Internet cafe,” Ayato replied. He glanced at Thoma who had stopped eating and put down his chopsticks, he gently placed his hands over his deskmate, “Is something bothering you? Why aren’t you eating?”

“Just resting,” Thoma said.

Kiana liked Ayato, he was the first classmate Thoma had brought home, he is really good at conversations too. In the end, Kaeya did not get to eat a lot of meat because most of it ended up in Ayato’s bowl.
