After the incident with the car, Leon was more protective. He never wanted me to go anywhere alone and after a week of this, I wanted to scream. One argument, led to another and I was going out of my mind. I knew he wanted to take care of me, to make sure I was safe, but I refused to look over my shoulder every time I leave his place or mine.

He tried getting me to move in with him, but I declined.

"I'm not going to move in with you unless it's because you're in love with me and we're trying to build a future together." I told him. "And don't ask me again because now I'll just think you're asking because I told you."

Leon hung his head. "Can't you see I just want you to be safe?"

"And I get that." I replied. "But how long will I be a prisoner in my own life? Now, I have to go to a shoot. It's simple enough—headshots for a model. I'll text you the address and you can stop by and take me out for lunch."

"You mean that?" Leon shifted closer. "You'll be okay with that?"

"That's my compromise."

"I want, P." He grinned. "I'll be there."

Smiling, I sniff-kissed his cheek, accepted the keys to his sportscar and exited the house, almost knocking Dome over. I wondered fleetingly how long he'd been standing there—watching.

Until Leo and Leon could put their plans in place, we had to pretend we didn't know he was a shit human being. I wasn't comfortable with him still living there, but Leon was always around, refusing to leave me alone with Dome.

As I stopped by the car and opened the driver's door, my phone rang. I stopped to check to see who it was and smiled.

"Flower?" I answered. "Can you hold on?"

"I thought you don't allow anyone to drive your car." Dome's voice was dark, crisp.

"He's not anyone." Leon responded. "He's mine."

Blushing, I dropped my bag on the passenger seat, climbed behind the wheel and closed the door. I put my sister on speaker, started the engine and rolled the sportscar toward the gates.

While I spoke with Flower, I couldn't help blushing at hearing what Leon had said. He hadn't asked me to be his nor had we made love. The confidence in his voice made me hot.

"P'Fah?" Flower called.

"I'm sorry." I cleared my throat. "Say again?"

My talk with Flower was over long before I arrived at the studio. I parked the car in the lot that required an access code and made my way inside with my bag. I removed my coat, draped it over the back of a chair and looked around.

About five minutes later, a young girl entered. She offered me wai and grinned brightly at me.

"My name is Wing." She explained. "I'll be your assistant."

I arched a brow.

This is new.

I returned her greeting and after introducing myself, we worked together to set up for our client. They hadn't sent me any information, but P'Sammu told me to prepare. It was a part of my job to get confidential client, most often than not, last minute.

"Good morning." A familiar voice called from behind me. "I believe I'm the client you're waiting for."

I swung around and frowned.

"No." Leon told me. "I didn't know about this either."

I arched a brow, trying to show my disbelief even as he kissed my cheek and Wing blushed before scurrying from the room.
