After a talk with our mother that morning, Leo and I decided we were due for a day off. Though I'd wanted to go surprise Topfah at work with lunch, Leo convinced me that after spending a night with him, I should probably give him some room to breathe.

Instead, I agreed to go with them to the beach.

I sat on my towel under the large umbrella and exhaled while applying sunscreen to my body.

"Let me help you with that." Dome offered.

"No thanks, P." I told him.

Dome spread his blanket in the sand under an umbrella on one side, slid on his sunglasses and stretched out, shirtless on his back. I stared at him for a second, wanting to test a theory I had—but seeing his body did nothing for me.

Seeing Topfah clothed, in a well-fitting pair of jeans and a top did more for me than Dome's bare chest.

Shaking my head, I turned to see my brother settling down with a boo, while Fiat, Aek, Tho and Nam played about in the water.

"How did everything go last night?" Leo asked.

I shrugged. "It was nice. A fight broke out at the club."

"Is Fah alright?"

"Chi, P." I exhaled. "He had a black eye after it but they managed to get the drunk guy out. He'll heal but it still made me angry someone would do that to him."

Leo smiled.

"What's up, P?"

"Nothing." He sipped from a bottle of water, corked it, and picked up his book again. "And nothing else happened?"

"What do you mean?"

Leon smirked.

I flushed. "Nothing else happened."

"Okay."

I eyed him, shook my head, and stretched out on my back.

The last thing I wanted was for him to see how disappointed I was that nothing happened between Topfah and myself the night before.

Pulling out my phone, I took some selfies of myself, then a few of myself and Leo, then of the water and the view and sent them all to Topfah. The truth was, I missed him terribly and knew he would have enjoyed this outing as much as I should be. I kept remembering him in the water at the beach house when we took breaks from the shoots. He loved the feeling of the sun on his wet skin.

Sometimes, I would wake up to find him on the beach, lying on his back as the son rose over him.

"Sending pictures to your lover?" Fiat asked.

"He's not my lover—yet."

Fiat cheered. "I knew it! You want to chase P'Fah!"

"So, what if I do?" I pouted. "He's hard working, good looking."

'Sexy." Fiat giggled. "Don't forget sexy."

"Fiat." Leo's voice held a warning.

Fiat kissed Leo deeply. "I only have eyes for you."

"Get a room." I muttered.

"Jealous, Leon?" Fiat asked.

"Of you?" I asked. "Ha!"

"It's not my fault your man isn't here." Fiat teased. "I told you to invite him."

"P'Leo, reign in your boyfriend." I pouted.

"I'll punish him later when we're alone." Leo replied without looking away from his book.

Fiat's cheeks turned a bright red.
