Christen's POV

"You okay?"

"Huh? Oh I'm fine." Bella says.

"You look a little overwhelmed babe." I whisper as I cup her face. "Is this too much?"

"What? No. I'm fine I promise. Go and do whatever you need to do, interact with everyone. I'll look from here and see how cute you are."

"You sure you're okay? Baby you don't look to well." I whisper. "We can go home."

"Home? Babe we just got here." Bella says laughing.

"You tell me if you want to go home okay?"

"I think she needs some water, I got her." Fran says and I smile.

"Thank you."

"Of course."

I walk towards the back of the van as I walk to stand next to Tobin.

"She okay?"

"Yeah I think there's too much going on for her to just focus on one thing. I think she's going to quit her job if I'm being honest." I whisper as I cover my mouth with my hand.

"Seriously?" Tobin asks and I nod my head. "Doesn't she love her job though?"

"It's not a for sure but maybe. She hasn't told me anything but I kind of just want her to quit and stay home."

"So a stay at home mom?" Tobin says.

"Well no." I say. "I mean she'd still be working with us with re inc."

"You want my thoughts? I think she's just overwhelmed with the amount of people she's been interacting with in the past like three months. With you being the face of ACFC I think she just finally got that glimpse of what it actually is of being married to you. Just a thought. You've been getting a heck of amount of attention than usual and I think she was used to your way of being not to out there. You know?"

"I don't think so, there's something going further than that. I just don't know." I say.

"Please make a line!"

"It's just my thought." Tobin says shrugging her shoulders. "I didn't say I was right."

"Hi, so nice to meet you." I say as I shake the girls hand.

"I just wanted to tell you that I just talked to your wife and she's really sweet." The girl says and I smile. "She began to talk to everyone in line."

"Aww thank you." I say with a smile. "She's great."

"Okay quick picture."

Tobin and I turn around as the girl stands in between us. We take a couple pictures and talk a little more.

I look around for Bella, only to see her talking to some of the people who are in line. Her mask on as we had a bit of a scare not too long ago.

"Could you tell her that I love her articles? She really does put everything into her writing and she's really good at it. Her articles are just absolutely phenomenal." The girl says.

"I'll let her know." I say with a smile.

Izzy's POV

"Izzy! We haven't seen you around." Charlie says and I walk over to him as I give him a hug.

"I've been busy with work." I say as I let go.

"I'm telling you, you need to quit that job." Charlie says and I laugh.

"I get paid well, I get paid vacations, somewhat of a healthcare. Plus my boss trusts me so he lets me have days off to go to Christen's games or whatever. Not all jobs do that." I say.

"Working full time for re inc let's you go to all the games." Charlie says making me laugh.

"Christen put you up to this didn't she?" I say patting his shoulder. "Fess up."

"She didn't and even if she did I wouldn't tell you." He says and I roll my eyes as I walk away.

"Hey babe."

"You okay?"

"Yes, why? You keep asking me that every single second." I say as we move away from the crowd.

"I don't know I'm just worried."

"Is this because of the whole thing with the precautions of covid?" I whisper.

"Mmm no but also maybe. I don't know I'm just on the edge."

"Babe. Is this because of your post? Babe I said no pity."

"Pity? There's no pity." Christen says.

"My phone has been ringing non stop for the past day. All pity. Babe I said no pity, I don't want pity. I feel like everyone just walks on eggshells when I'm around now."

"We're talking about this here? Now?" Christen asks.

"You're right not here. I will say that I didn't want pity, I asked for no pity." I say.

"So many people care about you baby, it's only support that they want to give you and love." Christen says cupping my face and I sigh.

"You're right. You're right." I say nodding my head. "I'm sorry."

"Don't apologize my love, just remember you're loved by many people. By our family by our friends. They only want to be there for you and hope they know that you have their support."

"Okay. Okay. I'm sorry."

"You're loved." Christen whispers as she rests her forehead against mine. "So loved."

"I love you."

"I love you too. I kinda want to go home, but if you want we can stay a little longer." Christen says.

"You're tired I know you are, let's just go home and spend some time with the kids. I could also go for some cuddles later." I say and Christen smiles.

"Okay. Let's go home then. I'm going to let Tobin know just wait for me here?"

Christen walks to tell Tobin while I just stand there awkwardly but then I walk over to the crowd.

"Hi everyone, I hope you all had a good time here today. I know I did. Thank you so much for the support you have all given us. I hope to see you all again soon." I say waving my hands at them.

"You ready?" Christen asks and I nod my head. Christen grabs my hand as we make our way to the car.

"I'm proud of you. I hope you remember that all the time."

"You always remind me." Christen says and I smile.

"Because I am proud of you. I always have been. Since before you tripped in the hallway." I say hitting my tongue as I try to hold back my laugh.

"Oh god not that again." Christen says groaning and I let out the laugh I was holding in.

"It's a great story."

"Not for me."

"I should make it a book. I'll name it, how the ankle breaker Christen Press, almost breaks her own ankles on nothing but her own feet. I'll make billions."

"At my expense?" Christen gasps.

"Yes."

"How rude. True betrayal. My own wife."

"You love me." I say with a smile.

"I do. I really do."
