Izzy's POV

"Good morning sunshine." Christen says as I walk downstairs. "Good nap?"

"It was good I'll admit that." I say groggily. "When did you wake up? I didn't feel you leave the bed."

"Well I heard Catalina wake up, gave her a bottle and a little bit of mashed potatoes and now here we are. I didn't want to wake you up. The twins are still deep into their nap so I decided to let you continue your well needed nap and I liked how cute you looked."

"Babe you're the one who should be sleeping. You work a lot more than me. I just sit at a desk." I say as I sit down next to her on the couch. "Cute? I'm almost certain that I was drooling."

"A little break and help won't hurt my love." Christen says leaning over to kiss my head. "You do a lot for us. Oh and the drool is just adding to the cuteness."

"I know we're married and all but knowing I get to spend the rest of my life with you makes me immensely happy."

"Wishing I could put into words just how happy I am knowing I get to spend the rest of my life with the most humble and beautiful woman in the world."

I lay my head on Christen's shoulder, grabbing a blanket as I cover our legs. The sound of rain surrounding the living room.

"I don't know why I turn this on every time, the sound of rain makes me so sleepy." Christen says as she lowers the volume on the tv.

"Then why'd you turn it on?"

"Because I'm sleepy."

"Here I'll put her on the other couch so she can sleep." I say getting up and grabbing Catalina. "We can take another nap. Or you can while I make food."

I walk over to the couch beside us, setting her down slowly making sure not to wake her. I place a blanket on top of her and making sure her small feet are covered, then pillows around her just to make sure she's doesn't fall.

Once I make sure she's safely on the swing I walk back to Christen. Sitting down next to her.

"You ready for the Olympics?"

"So ready."

"I have a feeling you'll get that gold medal." I say with a smile. "Either way I'm so immensely proud of you."

"I couldn't have done it without you."

We sit in silence for a couple minutes. I scoot closer towards Christen placing a kiss on her cheek.

"Are you happy?" I ask Christen as we cuddle on the sofa.

"Of course I am. Why do you ask?" Christen says, rubbing my arm softly.

"I just- I know we talked about it but are you sure you're okay retiring from the national team?"

"If it means I get to spend more time with you and the kids, hell yes. We both agreed and trust me I will never put the love I have for football over you or the kids. You will always come first."

"It'll feel so weird, it's been a big part of your life. You've come such a long way Chris. I'm proud of you."

"I wouldn't be where I am without the love and support from my family and you." Christen says cupping my face, placing a soft kiss against my lips. "I'm happy. No words can explain how happy I am."

"I love you. I know I tell you all the time but I really really love you."

"I love you more than you know." Christen says as she sits up, pulling me into her. I slowly lay down, resting my head on her lap. "I come home to you and you're always humming, a smile on your face. Whether you're cooking or with the kids. You always have a smile on your face."

I take a deep breath and I take in the beautiful scent of Christen. The peace it gives me.

"You're going to make me cry."

"Sometimes the media is so chaotic and I know here with you everything will go away. Questions, rumors, so chaotic. But I know if I'm with you that goes away. I'm home. You're my home."

"You're my home too." I say looking up at Chris as she runs her fingers through my hair. "You'll always be my home."

"So yes I'm happy. So happy. I wouldn't change this for anything in the world."

"I wouldn't either."

I close my eyes as I start to drift asleep. I feel Christen's hand slowly stop. She's definitely asleep.

I open one eye and peak to look at Christen. Yeah she's about to fall asleep.

"Mommy!"

Oh so close.

"Well there goes our two seconds of romance." Christen says as I get up. I laugh and shake my head as I walk to the twins bedroom.

"Those two seconds were amazing." I say with a smile.

"Amazing but not enough."

"We wanted kids." I say.

"Damn kids."

"Christen!"

"I'm kidding! I love them. I love them." Christen says and I glare at her. "I do! I love them and I love you."

"Mommy!"

"I'm going baby."

"I love my kids." I hear Christen say. "I do! I really do! In fact let's have another one."

"Oh yeah let's have another one when we practically just had one. In 2021 but still." I whisper. "My babies."

"We're not babies anymore mommy." Ashton says shaking his head.

"Oh no?" I ask as I take the big blanket off of them.

"Nope. We big! Like aunt Oby."

"Aunt Oby huh?"

"Yep." Ashton says nodding his head as we walk down to the living room. "Mama!"

"Shh your little sister is sleeping." I whisper.

"Sister?" Asher whispers and I nod.

"Sagey!" Ashton shouts.

"Ashton quiet voices."

"Sorry. We're gonna see Sagey?" Ashton asks.

"First go jump on top of mama she needs some hugs." I whisper to the twins.

"Hugs." They whisper in unison, their eyes lighting up.

I set them down on the floor letting them run towards Christen. Quickly jumping on top of her as they give her hugs. Walking over to the couch I grab my phone from the table.

Seeing Christen having so much fun with the kids almost makes me want to do something. She's retiring from the national team which means more time with us.

Maybe I should take in consideration what Charlie told me at the pop up months ago.

"Did you say something?" Christen asks and I look at her.

"Huh? No."

"Oh okay it's just- you were mumbling baby."

"I'm just talking to myself." I say grabbing my phone. "Okay smile for the picture."

"Send it to grandma?" Asher asks.

"Yes we'll send it to grandma." I say with a smile.

"And aunt Oby?"

"Sure and aunt Oby."

"Cool. Asher, Asher do what aunt Oby does." Ashton says.

The twins both smile as they do Tobin's hand gesture she does in every single photo. The influence she has on my children. My goodness.

"Oh yeah the others won't like this." Christen says as we both laugh.

"Aunt Oby for the win I suppose."
