I was massaging my temples, deep in thought when a knock on my door interrupted my moment.

"Come in." I say as I look up to see whoever it was.

No one came in. I rolled my eyes and continued reading the article I just finished an hour ago.

The sound of someone knocking on my door interrupted me, again. Whoever this was better be important.

I stood up from my seat and strode towards the door. Upon opening it, the very annoying and gorgeous Alexander was standing in front of me wearing a tux, a rose in between his lips. He was smirking at me as he bent down on one knee, taking my hand a planting a kiss on it.

"Your carriage awaits m'lady." He says in a british accent.

"What do you want?" I ask, tapping my foot impatiently.

He stands up, rolling his eyes while brushing the pants off his slacks. "It's lunch time and your prince is picking you up." He wiggles his eyebrows as he offers his hand.

I suddenly remembered our moment last night when he kissed and me now he was being this stupid, sweet guy picking me up for lunch.

The employees who have been passing by, stopped and stared at this idiot who was dressed for prom and well me, who was probably blushing like crazy. They were probably enjoying the show because I rarely smiled whenever I was at the office.

When I made no move, Alex leans in and whispers in my ear, "You know you're very beautiful especially when you're blushing but you really need to eat." He pecks my cheek then grins cheekily at me.

"Just a sec." I say as I turned back to my office and gather my things. I had to get this stupid smile on my face before I got out.

I took a deep breath and put on my straight face then headed outside. "Where'd the blush go?" He asks as he gives me the rose & offers his arm.

"Right, here." I say, taking the rose from him then give him a light slap on the cheek. "Ew, make up." I scrunched up my nose, wiping my hand using my handkerchief then laughed at him when he gave me a blank expression.

He groans and takes my bag, taking out some wipes which he used to wipe his face. "Are you done with your shoot?" I asked as we entered the elevator.

"Yeah, I just didn't feel like changing so," he shrugs then pressed the L button.

"So, I wanted to talk to you about something." He says as we got out of the elevator once we stopped on the first floor. "What is it?"

He was about to open his mouth to reply when he suddenly stopped and stared. But not at me though, something or someone behind me. As I turned to see who it was, I saw Brooke King in one of the waiting areas, talking to one of our fashion consultants.

I turn to Alex and saw him still staring at her. Why? Did he like her?

"Hello?" I ask as I wave a hand in front of his face. He shook his head and turns to look at me, giving me a small smile. "Sorry, let's go?" He walks towards the exit leaving me on my spot. What the hell?

The whole ride to the restaurant we were eating at was silent. Alex was deep in thought and he didn't even bother apologizing when he left me earlier. I mean okay it's probably too much of me to be slightly mad at him for leaving me but still!

After parking the car, we got out then entered the restaurant in silence. It was annoying me. What was with him? And why the hell was he so quiet after seeing Brooke?

"Good Afternoon sir, madam, may I take your order?" The waiter asks with a smile.

"I'll have a steak, medium-rare and a glass of red wine." Alex says plainly.

I glared at him then turned to the waiter, returning his smile, "Chicken Salad and an orange juice please, that would be all." He nods and takes both our menus before leaving.

"Okay, what's your problem?" I ask as I cross my arms against my chest.

"What?"

"Eversince you saw Brooke King in one of the waiting rooms you've been quiet. You didn't even say anything when I ordered salad plus you left me behind after I waved a hand in front of your face and that is so not you, so tell me Alexander, what's wrong?" I narrowed my eyes at him as he sighs and rubs his face.

"She's my ex-fiancée."

My eyes widened in shock. He was engaged before?

"She broke up with me because she said I didn't have time for her anymore and she was jealous of all those girls who she said were so much more skinnier and prettier than she is that I might be tempted to just hook up with them or be with them and forget about her. I didn't realize I've been ignoring her for about two weeks already. That was until she showed up in one of my shoots. I was delighted but when she told me her main reason of coming, I was really hurt." He sighs then continues, "That was two years ago though. I was just shocked to see her after two years."

I just nodded in reply. It was too much to take in. I suddenly lost my appetite and I just want to go back to the office and drown myself with all the work.

"Do you still love her?" I ask.

He just sighed in reply. I felt an odd stir in my chest when he didn't bother adding anything to the reply.

"So last night when you kissed me it was just a kiss and nothing else?" I blurted out.

Damn why the hell did I just say that?

This time, his eyes widened. He shook his head and grabs my hand. "No, I'm sorry. I just felt guilty with the whole Brooke thing. I.. I.." He sighs, again and runs his fingers through his hair.

"I like you Mia. I really do. You're very beautiful inside and out. I was just really shocked to see her after two years. And the kiss last night, I was giving you a hint about what I felt." He gives me a sheepish smile and rubs circles on my palm.

I bit my lip, blushing, all Brooke tension gone. "Do you even mean that?"

He rolls his eyes and intertwines our fingers, making the butterflies in my stomach go wild.

"Yes Mia." He chuckles.

After that talk, everything was finally back to the way it was before he saw Brooke. We were joking around & he even apologized for leaving me behind.

He got annoyed though when he realized I actually ordered salad. It was funny because he was scolding the poor waiter for serving me salad.

"So I heard there was this party for Elite's 22nd anniversary?" He asks as he walks me back to my office.

"Yes and I bet you didn't hear it because I'm sure I saw an invitation for you in Lea's office last week."

"Well.." He scratches the back of his head and nods. I giggle and open the door to my office, letting both of us in.

"So are we going together?"

I look up at him and he was waiting for an answer, as if he didn't know the answer already.

"As long as you don't ditch me, then yes." I smiled then returned to my office chair, fixing the papers on my table.

"I won't." He grins.

"Well I have to go, I still have a meeting with my manager. I'll talk to you later." He says the heads to the door.

"Bye." I say, waiting for him to leave.

He stops then turns and kisses me. He pulls away then gives me a wolfish grin.

"I'll see you tomorrow, beautiful." He kisses my forehead then leaves my office.

I had this urge to scream like a teenage girl but I didn't. Wouldn't want to make the other employees here think I'm going out of mind.

I bit my lip, smiling to myself as I opened my laptop to continue my work.
