Chapter 11 : Part 2
Stefan's POV
"Good Evening everyone! I'm Lilliane Dupré, Stefan's sister and I'd just like to congratulate him on his success with his business and really lame cooking show that people only watch because they say he looks good," the crowd laughs along with Mia beside me.I rolled my eyes, but laughed a little.
"Anyway, a toast to my brother! And can we please have some slow song for a slow dance I mean come on this party doesn't have to be lame too." Lily says as she got off the stage.
"What was with her?" Mia asks chuckling as the slow music played.
"She's probably drank some alcohol already. She wouldn't have spoke in front of a crowd if she was decent." We laughed as we watched her stumble in front of my cousins.
There was an awkward pause when we realized we were the only two left on our spot who isn't dancing.
"So, uh, should we dance too?" She asks.
"As long as no possessive boyfriend of yours would get mad at me." She rolls her eyes making me chuckle. I offered her my arm, and we joined the people on the dance floor as we started dancing.
My palms were starting to get sweaty and I could feel my heart beating faster as she put her arms around my neck.
"Are you okay? You look pale." She asks as she puts her palm on my forehead.
"I'm okay." I managed to say with a small smile. I put my hands on her waist and together we danced to the music.
As we were dancing, I couldn't help but notice her looking around the room and watching couples our age looking all lovey dovey.
It gave me a chance to observe her.
More like check her out.
There was no denying that she was indeed beautiful. Her soft flawless skin and her innocent face were enough to turn a man on. A man like me.
And being turned on right now would be so wrong. I wouldn't want her to scare her off when something down there decides to go up.
I knew right now she was thinking of that guy she has a fling with. That Alexander guy.
You could see it in her eyes that she really has feelings for him.
I know she's been waiting for a call or a message from him since three days ago. And that Alexander was pissing me off because he couldn't see how affected this beautiful lady is because of him.
"You alright?" I asked as she sighed.
"Yeah." She gives me a small smile.
"Are you thinking about??"
"Yes." She replies.
"You have nothing to worry about Mia," I said stopping, which made her stop too. I looked at her face and realized I was in danger.
I tucked a stray strand of her behind her ear and stroked her cheek. Right now, all I wanted to do was to kiss her.
"You're a smart and beautiful lady and if anything goes wrong, remember it's not your loss but his. Anyone would be lucky to have you." She gives me a small smile.
"Just don't show off the claws, yeah? They're quite scary." I add, whispering to keep people around us from hearing.
She playfully glares then shoves me, laughing as she did so.
"You are such an arse."
"A good looking one that is." I said with a wink.
"Thank you for tolerating the wrath and crazy mood swings of Mia Wilson." She says as we resumed dancing.
"It's only been a week." I shrugged, chuckling.
"Sometimes I have this urge to punch you in the face because of your comments."
"Not the face."
We joked around as we swayed to the beat of the music and from there, Mia was finally relaxed, at least for now she is and she was happy.
And seeing her happy and smiling widely was such a beautiful sight.
And if that Alexander decides to keep up his jerk move by not contacting Mia, I'll make sure I'll be the one to catch her when she falls.
* * *
"Thank you for the night Stefan. I really had so much fun and it took my find off things." Mia says as we stopped in front of her door.
"That was no problem. You needed some time out you know? Don't lock yourself inside all the time. If you need someone to take you somewhere you can always call Lily or me, we'd make time for you." I tell her. I would prefer though if she'll call me and not Lily.
She surprises me by kissing my cheek which made my cheeks heat up a bit and I knew it was a bit red or maybe really red and if she did saw, she was being polite by not laughing at me for blushing.
"Thank you, I'll keep that in mind."
She opens the door and says Good Night.
"Good Night to you too Mia." I replied.
I didn't want to let her go yet, so I prevented her from closing the door, "Wait."
She looks at me confusingly but opens the door.
"If that model hurts you in any way, tell me and I'd be more than glad to beat him up for you. I'm not saying he will but if he does alright?"
She blushes but nods in reply with an, "Okay."
I bid her goodbye then turned and walked towards the elevator.
This was going to be so hard since I knew in me there was something that just pulls me towards her.
So help me, God.
