There was fire everywhere.
I saw the flames creeping up around me, I felt there warmth against my skin. I wanted to scream for help. But my longs were filled with pitch black smoke. I coughed, But only inhaled more.
Fear filled me up. I tried pushing away whatever was blocking my way out, But it didn't work. I kicked it in frustration and heard voices coming out of the hallway.
I used all my strengths to pound against the door. Screaming, Not thinking about the smoke anymore. There was some sort of sound coming from the other side of the door.
They're trying to help me.
Flames kept coming closer. I only had a small corner now. Soon I would become toasted. I cried out and tried getting away. But it didn't help. The flames touched my legs. And the worst part was that I couldn't feel the pain, Not for the first few seconds. After that the pain hid me like a wave. And I was drowning.
I woke up in my bed, Covered in sweat. My breathing was rapid and there were tears rolling down my cheeks. I saw something glitter in the corner of my eye and immediately shot up. It was Loki.
"What the fuck are you doing?!" I yelled at him and threw my pillow at his face. He caught it before it could do any damage but still looked surprised.
"I was.. Uh.. Nothing" He stuttered, Obviously confused.
"Creep!" I yelled and pulled my sheets up to my face.
"I'm not a creep, I wanted to see something" He said and put my pillow back on my bed.
"What did you want to see?" I asked leaning back against my wall.
"If you would have a nightmare again" He said and stood up. "I'll go"
I wanted to ask him something, But I was pretty confused about what I was supposed to ask. Or say, I mean I should tell someone that he's watching me sleep. That's just creepy as fuck. The door suddenly slammed open and I saw Steve standing there, In his sleeping boxers.
"Are you okay? I heard you yelling?" He asked with a sleepy face.
"I uh, Had a nightmare" I confessed. I mean it's the only way to explain the state of my room without telling on my father "Can you stay here? Please"
He sighed and mumbled a 'move'. I grabbed my pillow and placed it on the right side before sliding over and making as much room for him as I could. He got under the covers and laid down. I rested my head on his chest and fell him wrap his arm around me.
"What was it about?" He asked. "Your nightmare I mean"
"There was a fire, I was trapped" I whispered. He tightened his arm around me and looked like he held back a yawn.
"You're in a place with heroes and special agents, No one will harm you here" He whispered back.
"But there are more people that would want to set fire to this place" I said a bit sharper then I intended to.
"You're safe" He just whispered back and started humming a random tune. It did help me relax a bit. Hearing his heartbeat in one ear and music in the other. I tiredly closed my eyes and soon fell asleep.

When I opened my eyes I was surprised to see that he was still here. I lifted my head and saw that he was reading one of the many books I had laying around here. The one he was reading was a pretty old one. It was called Rebel and was about the Civil war. Steve lowered the book and caught me looking at him.
"Good morning" He chuckled.
"Hey" I said with a morning voice. I sat up straight and rubbed the sleep out of my eyes. "Thanks for staying with me"
"No problem, Wanna get some food?" He asked. I nodded and got up to get some clothes. I looked through my closed until my eyes landed on the dress. "You should wear it" I heard Steve say after he saw what I was looking at.
"Isn't it more like a party dress?" I asked totally confused by fashion.
"It's not" He chuckled and hit my shoulder. "Wear it." He walked out of my room to also get dressed.

With dress on and my hair in a braid I must say, I look very different. Like a girl that went through one of those make-over programs. I opened the door and saw Steve hanging against a wall with his usual jeans and leather jacket. He smiled as he saw me.
"Your wearing sneakers with it?" He asked and rolled his eyes.
"I might be wearing a dress but I'm still me"
"Obviously"
We walked through the hallways to the cafeteria. And I did caught some people staring. Actually a lot of people. I mean I grew up around here. Nearly everyone, except for the newbies of course, Know me. They know I don't wear dresses.
Steve was talking about something random when he pushed open the door to the cafeteria. We sat down at our usual table after we got our food and Tony sat down, for the very first time, at our table. Closely followed by my sister and Tyler.
"You look different today" Tony said and eyed me up and down making me feel incredibly uncomfortable.
"It looks nice on you" Allison said. "It would look better on me but it looks nice on you"
"Uh, Thanks" I said. Steve rolled his eyes at Allison's comment .
All of the sudden a loud sound came from near us. It felt like gravity suddenly failed and I fell out of my seat and was being pushed against a wall. Near me was a huge hole in the wall.
What the hell is happening?
