Secrets

 - 16 years later - 

"You're being dumb Allison!" I yelled at my sister. 

"No, You're being boring as usual!" She yelled back and stomped her feet. 

"You can't go out dumb ass, It's against the rules" I said and crossed my arms.

"Rules are meant to be broken" She said with a smirk.

"If that was the case they wouldn't have made the rules in the first place" I replied and rolled my eyes. 

"Well, I'm going out . You can go stay here and be boring" She said and walked away. I slammed the door shut and did a belly flop on my bed. 

"I need a new sister" I  mumbled in my pillow. My room is very small which is understandable since I live on the S.H.I.E.L.D hellicarrier. In my room  are only the essentials. A bed, A closet and a nightstand with a small lamp. 

I turned the lamp on and grabbed the book that I was reading. I read it for probably about 30 minutes until My door opened and Steve walked in.

"Hey" He said with a smile and sat down next to me on my bed.

"Hey" I replied and placed my book back on my nightstand "What have you been up to?"

"The usual" He said and pulled his knees up to his chest. He wore his usual jeans and a leather jacket. What I did notice was the cut on his for head.

"You're injured" I said and shuffled closer to take a look.

"It's nothing" He said. I ignored his comment and slowly brushed my fingers passed the wound. He flinched and groaned.

"Oh come on supersoldier, Don't be such a sissy" I said and grabbed some band aids from my nightstand. 

"Why do you keep those in your nightstand?" He asked and flinched at my touch again "And I thought you would be the one that wasn't gonna hurt me"

"Never trust anyone right?" I said and smiled at him "I keep those there because I always injure myself, And I don't want to keep going to the nursery" 

"Okay good point" He replied and laughed. I put the band aids away and leaned against the wall. 

"Whats wrong?" He asked. 

"Why do you think something is wrong?" I asked and looked at him.

"Because I know you and" He said and placed his finger on my cheek "That is your worry face"

I smiled and looked down at my hands "Allison is out again"

"How can she even go 'out' we're on a helicarrier" He asked confused.

"She's friends with one of the pilots" I said "And with friends I mean she friend zoned him while he likes her"

"That's... Harsh" He said and smiled at me "That's her problem not yours"

"She's my sister" I said.

"She's 18" He replied.

"So? You're like 80 and I worry about you too" I said "Apparently worrying about others is my job"

"You worry about me?" He asked with half a smirk. 

"I have to" I said "Don't you see the stupid shit you get yourself into?" 

"Oh no, I do see that" He said "But you can't help me with that"

But I can.

I never told anyone about my powers, Mostly because I'm afraid they'll send me to one of the many S.H.I.E.L.D. prisons. Then I'd have to leave behind my sister, And I never want to do that.

"Hey Helena?" Steve asked doubtingly.

"Hmm?"

"If you would have a secret, You would tell me right?"

"Uh yeah I guess" I said and immediately felt guilty "I mean you would tell me yours too right?"

"Well, No" He said.

"Well that's the ending of that friendship" I said and laughed "Can't say I'm not upset about you not trusting me"

"I trust you" He said "But if I tell you one of my secrets then you might get a bullet between your eyes'" 

"Who says my secrets aren't that lethal as well?" I whispered mysteriously. 

"Because you're 16 years old and I've known you my entire life" He said.

"True" I replied "Fine keep your secrets" I stood up "But don't be pissed off if you find out that I also keep secrets from you"

"Like you would be able to keep a secret longer than 10 seconds" He said and also stood up "Come on, Let's tell Fury that your sister has run off again"
