Sitting in class longing for the final bell to ring, impatiently waiting to go to Rugby practice. Daydreaming about becoming the world's best female rugby star.
"Molly!"
I was the only girl on Truham rugby team, even though I went to Higgs, I was the best player out of all the guys, so they let me join.
"Molly!" Mrs. Gibbs yelled pulling me out of my day dream.
"Sorry, what was the question?" Everyone seemingly found that funny, not sure why.
"Stop daydreaming and pay attention next time!" I nodded continuing to write in my notepad.
"What is 41 divided by 65?" Mrs. Gibbs class had the best Maths students, we could solve any maths problem, no matter how 'hard' it was.
"0.63." I answered quickly, "that is correct. Good job." The bell finally rang meaning I could get out of this hellhole and do something I enjoy.
"Wait! Everybody sit down, the bell doesn't dismiss you I do," what's the point of the dismissal bell then? "You will finish this maths worksheet and turn it it by Monday morning. Understand?" We all nodded in agreement, does she really think any of us are going to do the work sheet?
"You are now dismissed. Have a great weekend everybody!".
I didn't have many friends, just Tao, Charlie and Elle. Tao and Charlie both go to Truham Grammar school, while Me and Elle are stuck here at Higgs.
"Hey." Elle said approaching me at my locker.
"Oh, hey!"
"Rugby practice again?" Elle asked.
"Yea, sorry. Hopefully I don't get kicked off the team for beating the shit out of Harry if he says anything about you or Charlie." Elle is transgender and Charlie is gay, boys on my rugby team are very homophobic. Harry especially, he called Charlie a fag which caused a fight between Tao and Harry.
Before Elle transitioned I was the only girl in the friend group, Elle always knew she was trans, she was scared to come out, not knowing if we would hate her or love her the same.
"Aw. You'd do that for me and Charlie." Elle said sarcastically, "Well now that you've said it like that, I don't think I will." I joked as I closed my locker, "Gasp! No! I'm so sorry!" Elle started fake crying being dramatic as usual.
"Your so stupid." Once I got to the girls changing room me and Elle went our separate ways.
"Tell everyone I said hi!" I shouted before entering the room. Being the only girl on the rugby team means you get your own locker room, and every guy tries to impress you. I find it quite honestly amusing.

I walk out onto the field to be greeted by the one and only, Harry Greene.
"Hey Molly. Your outfit looks nice." I scoffed "It's the same as yours." Harry's face became red and his mates all started laughing, "Also I'm not interested. Sorry." I turned around and walked to the practice area starting my workout.
"Molly, come here for a second." Mrs. Singh shouted, "Yeah?" I approached her.
"Are those boys picking on you?" She pointed to Harry and his mates, I shook my head. "No, he was just complimenting me." I smiled and fixed my hair pulling the ponytail tightly. Mrs.Singh nodded. I went back to my workout area and continued doing jumping jacks, push ups, sit ups, and lunges. The sound of a whistle flew through the air meaning Mrs.Singh needed a huddle to discuss plans.
"Right, from now on you will have a training partner," everyone cheered but they were soon shut down, "I will be choosing them." Everyone groaned "everyone line up and I will tell you where to go!" She yelled, we all lined up as Mrs. Singh assigned everyone a partner.
"Harry and James." She was two people away from me, "Mark and Tyler." She finally reached me calling out my partner, "Nick and Molly." I groaned at who I got paired with, Nick Nelson. He was my ex best friends, ex boyfriend. Imogen and Nick dated for a month until she moved away so they broke up. Me and Imogen had a fight right before she left and we never made up.
"That's not fair, two of the best rugby players got put together?!" Someone shouted, Mrs.Singh scoffed and replied with a smile "I know." Is all she said. I was talking with James when someone tapped my shoulder,
"Um, Molly I believe we're partners?" I turned around to see Nick Nelson standing behind me, our faces about 6 inches apart.
"I know, I was talking with James." I replied turning back around to finish my conversation, but when I did turn back around, James had left.
Wish me luck.
