"Okay, so we're meeting up at the bowling alley arcade place?" Nick asked, I decided to invite him because he was the only one who helped me the days I didn't feel like myself and he cared for me when I got hurt at the rugby tournament, so he deserved my invite.
"Yes Nick I told you 3 times already." I responded rolling my eyes.
"Okay, okay, I was just making sure. I don't want to show up somewhere I'm not meant to be." He laughed.
"7:30 tomorrow night okay?"
"Okay. I'll be there I promise. I won't let you down." After that we both became silent and continued walking home.
"Do you maybe wanna come over? You don't have to if you don't want to but I have nothing else to do tonight so and my mum wouldn't care." Nick asked breaking the silence of the fall night.
"I don't know, my mum is expecting me home."
"Oh, no it's totally fine." He seemed a little sad after hearing my response.
"You know what, I don't think she would notice I'm gone. I'll come over for a little bit, an hour or two wouldn't hurt." I smiled after seeing Nicks face become brighter. We walked about another 10 minutes talking about whatever, when we finally arrived at Nicks home. We walked in and it instantly smelled like cinnamon and coffee.
"Mum! I'm home!" Nick yelled, in which his mums response made me laugh a little.
"Okay Nicky, we can watch Pirates of the Caribbean again if you want. I know how much you like seeing the girls." Mrs.Nelson said walking into the corridor.
"Nick who's your friend?" She said wiping her hands on her pants.
"Oh this is Molly Johnson, she's one of my rugby mates and my friend." He stepped to the side to let me get into full view of his mum.
"Why hello Molly. I'm glad Nick found a new friend. I'm Sarah Nelson, Nicky's mum." Nicks face turned red, trying to hide it but not doing a good job of it.
"It's very nice to meet you, i love your house. It's a lot better than mine." I said giggling still shaking Mrs.Nelson's hand.
"Okay Molly...let's go upstairs now?" Nick said pulling me away from his mum.
"Leave the door open Nicky!" His mum called from the bottom of the stairs.
"I will!" He was still holding my hand when we got into his room. Once we realized we both pulled our hands away.
"Umm...sorry...about that." He said walking over to his bed, sitting on the edge and taking off his shoes.
"Oh it's okay, your hands are really soft, it felt like a cloud." I giggled slipping off my shoes as well.
"Wanna play Mario Kart?" Nick asked holding up two controllers, I grabbed one from his hand.
"Hell yeah." I plopped down on his bed next to him.
He booted up game and we played a few rounds me winning most of them.
"How are you so good? Your like good at everything." Nick threw the controller behind him in the bed.
"What? I'm not, it's just called luck. You're good at like, everything. I can't play rugby without getting hurt or making our team lose."
"You're good at rugby, video games, every subject but especially Maths." I scoffed.
"Shut up!" I threw my hand over his mouth and pushed him in on his back.
"Get off of me!" Nick laughed uncovering my hand from his mouth. He looked at me and I looked at him, from his eyes to his lips back to his eyes. Just then my phone started ringing I pulled my phone out of my pocket to reveal my mums name. I answered to suddenly lose my hearing from her yelling.
"Molly! Where the hell are you? It's 9:30! You better not be at a boys house!"
"Um.. I-I'm at Elle's house. We're studying for a exam that's on Wednesday. I'll be home in a little bit."
"No! I want your fat ass home right now! You have chores and you have to be home before I'm off work everyday. You know that!" I rolled my eyes and got off of Nicks bed.
"Alright I'll be home in a few minutes." I said sliding on my shoes about to hang up but my mum started talking again.
"You've forgotten to say something."
"What?" I scoffed.
"I love you!? Are you stupid! Oh wait that's an easy question to answer."
"Fine. I love you, I'll see you soon." I hung up quickly and left Nicks room.
"Molly? Wait!" Nick said behind me.
"I'm sorry, I don't want to go but I have to, my mum is being a bitch today. I had fun though thank you, I'll see you tomorrow?" I quickly gave Nick a hug and left.
"Did I almost kiss Nick?"
