One Love (Nick Nelson)

'Okay Molly you can do this. It's only Rugby, not like some championship Olympic game or something.' Thoughts rushed through my head as I got ready for the tournament. A knock and voice was heard at my locker room door.
"5 minutes Molly." Mrs. Singhs voice echoed through the empty corridor on the other side of the door.
"Alright I'm almost ready." My hands were shaky and my legs felt like jelly. I walked out of the locker room and made my way to the field. I was hoping to see all my friends but instead I only saw, Elle and Issac.
"Hey Elle where's Tao?" I asked disappointment in my voice.
"He said he would try to make it but his grandma is visiting and Tao doesn't know if he can escape." She laughed and Issac giggled.
"And Charlie?"
"He's not gonna make it tonight because he's sick. But he said he would get milkshakes for us after you next game." Elle was always there for everything, and everyone she never let anyone down unless she absolutely had to. Just then I heard footsteps behind me, and arms around my shoulders. I turn around to see Tao awkwardly close to my face.
"Tao! You made it! I was getting worried only Elle and Issac would show up." I turned back to Elle and Issac, "not that that's a bad thing, because it's not." They both nodded and Issac went back to his book and Elle looked at Tao with, admiration? Weird.
"Yeah...I almost didn't make it.... I had to climb out my bathroom window to get....here." He said taking breaths in between each sentence.
"Molly!" I turn towards the Felix to see who called me.
"C'mon the game is about to start." Nick called.
"Okay guys I've gotta go, just go sit in like the front row of bleachers or something." I said before leaving towards the field.
"Good luck!" My friends shouted making me smile.
"You okay? You look a little sick." Nick asked as I walked by him.
"Nervous is all." I responded and started walking faster to get away.
"Are you sure your okay your like really pale-" I stopped walking and turned to face Nicholas.
"I said I'm fine." I hissed back and turned back around and started walking again.
"Okay. Sorry."
Once we got into line coach blew her whistle signaling for us to start.
I was the first to have the ball so I tossed it to Harry, trying my best to avoid contact with Nicholas.
Harry tossed it to Nicholas and he ran toward the score line but a opponent tackled him and he lost the ball. It started raining which means it would make this 10x harder to play.
'Shit' I said ti myself. In the background you could hear Zoey yelling.
"Come on Nicholas!" Shut up for Christ sakes.
I saw the opportunity to tackle the opponent and I took it. I jumped on top of the opponent and stole the ball. I got up and darted towards the goal, in the corner of my eye I could see Nicholas he was closer than I was to the goal.
"Nick!" I yelled and threw the ball just as someone from the other team tackled me. Everything went dark. I could hear people still running and whistles being blown.
"Molly! Molly! Are you okay?" I heard someone approaching me but my eyes were foggy and my head was pounding. A final whistle blew and Coach's voice rang inside my head.
"The game is over! It's too dangerous to play in this weather!" My eyes became clear again and everything came back to me.
"Molly are you okay?" Nick said helping me stand up.
"Yeah, yeah I think so."
"Nick take Molly to the Aid please." Coach Singh said.

Once we got to the Aid, Nick sat me down on the cot and grabbed some paper towels.
"You did good today. We won, well almost." He said wiping the dirt off my face.
"Sorry about being a bitch to you earlier and at Harry's party before I left." I said looking at Nick, he stopped wiping and looked back at me. We stared for a minute or two then the door opened and Issac walked in.
"Coach Singh wanted me to give you sown antiseptic wipes." He said smiling a cheeky smile and handed them to Nick.
"Thanks." Nick said before Issac walked out.
"I should probably get going, my mom is expecting me home soon." I said standing up.
"Oh, yeah okay. Here's some antiseptics for your nose." Nick handed me the wipes and combed his fingers through his hair.
"Thanks. I'll see you tomorrow then?" I said before turning around and walking out.

'Molly I think I'm in love with you." Nick said grabbing my hand and pulling me in closer to him.
'I think I'm in love with you too." I said in shock, our faces inches closer and closer until...

My alarm woke me up in a cold sweat. 'Did I dream about Nick Nelson?!' I couldn't believe it, I dreamt about Nick, was I like in love with him? 'No there's no way! I'm not in love with Nick, gross.' I turned off my alarm and put my slippers on walking to the bathroom.
I thought about Nick the rest of the day, sometimes I found myself scrolling through his instagram.
"Molly? Why are you on Nicks instagram?" Elle said pulling um from my trance.
"Huh what?! I'm not. I was looking for pictures of yesterdays rugby game is all." Elle raised an eyebrow and looked from Darcy and Tara back to me.
"So zooming in on Nicks face, and screen-recording his pictures is now trying to look for rugby pictures?" Elle laughed and continued eating her chips.

My 16th birthday was coming up and my mom was working like usual and my sister couldn't make it so I had to have a friends only party.
"Hey Tao." I said while we were walking home from school.
"Wot?" He said kicking a rock that was on the side walk.
"So my birthday is on Saturday and i was wondering if you wanted to come to my party? You don't have to get me anything, I just want all my friends there." I said fiddling with my jacket.
"Of course I'll come, Molly your my best friend. How could I say no to that?" He Sid turning his head to look at me.
"Great now I just have to invite the rest of you guys and I'll be good to go."
"Okay, um I'm going this way." I looked at Tao and gave him a quick hug before we went our separate ways.
"Maybe I'll invite Nick."
