"Wait, I like this one too,"

"Pans, that's the 7th dress you've chosen today,"

"I know, but still, I think this one would look really good on me,"

Pansy had dragged both Cassie and Daphne to a dress shop in Hogsmeade, so there they sat on a couch as Cassie and Daphne watched Pansy try on multiple dresses.

"Mother just sent mine this morning, it's green," Daphne said before muttering. "Don't know what I expected,"

"Mine's green too," Cassie nodded.

"Oh, then should I get a green dress?" Pansy spoke excitedly. "We could match!"

With that said, Pansy started taking out the none green dresses she chose and picked out a few more green dresses.

"Have you guys got any dates?" Pansy asked, examining her dresses.

"Yep,"

"Nope,"

"Who'd you take, Daph?" Cassie asked, looking at Daphne. "Was it the boy you danced with at dance practice?"

Daphne raised her eyebrows at Cassie. "How'd you know?"

"You guys looked like you had a pretty fun time,"

At the mention of the dance practice, Pansy groaned. "Good for you, Daph, Blaise kept stepping on my foot, the prick doesn't know how to dance one bit,"

Cassie and Daphne snorted before Pansy spoke up again. "I think Cass had the worst luck, imagine dancing with Potter. Ew,"

Cassie just nodded, the smile on her lips not leaving.

After hours of fitting, Pansy finally found the dress and they exited the shop only for Pansy to bump into someone.

"Oh, I'm sorry,"

The Slytherins immediately knew who that voice belonged to.

"Oh, it's you," Pansy spoke slowly, her voice laced with disgust.

Hermione looked uncomfortable as she tried looking anywhere but the girls standing in front of her.

Pansy examined her before raising an eyebrow. "Are you here to shop for your dress?"

"Yes," Hermione answered slowly.

"Alright then," Pansy shrugged. "Have fun, mud-"

Cassie and Daphne both gave Pansy a hard tug. Hermione knew what Pansy was going to say and all Hermione wanted was to get out of here, forget the dress. As the trio walked away, leaving Hermione standing alone, Daphne gave Pansy a look.

"Come on, Pans," Daphne started. "I don't really like people like her but was it really necessary?"

"It was just a habit, okay?" Pansy defended. "It slipped out of my mouth before I could even stop me,"

"Let's just forget about that," Cassie cleared her throat. "I think a butterbeer sounds nice, then well get our nails done, and then, we'll shop for Christmas presents,"

---

It was Christmas morning and the usually dull Slytherin common room was filled with a warm and happy atmosphere. As usual, Cassie had gotten a buttload of presents, some from people she doesn't even know. Her mother had gifted her a bunch of accessories to wear at the ball. Draco had given her a custom-made mug that had the words 'Draco Malfoy is the better twin', Theo had gifted her a bunch of books which Cassie would check out later, Pansy gave both Cassie and Daphne a custom-made friendship bracelet and there were so many more Cassie still had to unwrap. For now, the Slytherins were heading down to breakfast as Theo pulled her aside.
