As soon as Harry emerged out of the water, Cassie released her breath which she's been holding in for too long. Of course, Harry Potter being who he is decided to save another person who wasn't his to save. Cassie really wanted to pitch him off the astronomy tower for that. He could have easily gotten first place but no, he did something stupid and unnecessary. Fortunately for Harry, Dumbledore's favoritism got Harry into second place. Was the Triwizard Tournament a joke now? Cassie didn't bother trying to get to Harry because there was a crowd towering over him and Cassie didn't really want to push through that crowd, plus, it's not like Harry was expecting her anyway. Why was she even going to check on him in the first place?

Harry felt really overwhelmed and the massive crowd that was towering over him, shoving and pulling him while shouting at his ears didn't help. He felt someone wrap a blanket around him as he looked around. Hermione was beside him and Ron was trying to recover from a kiss Fleur had planted on his forehead. He was exhausted. He didn't even know why he saved the little girl, stupid Gryffindors and their idiocies, Cassie would say. Harry couldn't help but feel a little disappointed when he didn't see Cassie anywhere. It's not like he was expecting her or anything, maybe he just thought she would have been there to congratulate him or make fun of him for his stupidity but he whisked those thoughts away. Harry and Cassie were not friends and they never will be. Once the year ends, they'll go back to being strangers or even enemies.

---

No matter how tired and exhausted he was, Harry couldn't sleep that night. Every time he came close to falling asleep, he'd wake up from the wind howling outside or Ron snoring. He was woken up for the 100th time that night as he let out a frustrated sigh before sitting up in his bed. He lit up his wand quietly as he opened up a piece of parchment paper.

"I solemnly swear that I am up to no good,"

And in an instant, the ink appeared on the paper as it showed all of Hogwarts. Harry's eyes automatically searched for a specific name and it took him a while to find it. As Harry flipped the paper around, he saw the name written in pretty cursive, 'Cassiopeia Malfoy'. As usual, she was walking up the stairs from the dungeons and started wandering the halls aimlessly. Harry contemplated whether or not to go as he sat up straight in his bed. He was bored and he had nothing to do anyway. Just as he was about to get out of bed, Ron woke up with a start. Harry jumped back onto the bed so quickly that if you blinked, you would have missed it.

"Jesus Christ, you scared me," Harry breathed out as he rolled his eyes at a quivering Ron.

"N-nightmare," Ron's lips trembled. "S-spiders everywhere!"

Harry wanted to laugh but he almost felt sympathetic looking at Ron's horrified face before shaking his head. Just as Harry was about to open his mouth, Ron fell back asleep on his bed with a flop. Harry stared for a moment before leaving the common room.

Cassie brushed her hands against the cold metal railings as she climbed the steps of the Astronomy tower. She shivered a little as the cold wind seeped through her robes once she got to the top. She walked towards the railings in silence as she let out a cold puff of air. The wind blew gently on her face as she looked down at Hogwarts.

"It's beautiful isn't it?"

Cassie didn't need to look back to recognize whose voice that was. She had this feeling he would show up.

"It is,"

Her voice was smooth and so elegant Harry wondered whether she was faking it or if it just sounded like that naturally. He walked over so that he was standing beside Cassie as he rested his hands on the cold railing. The two teenagers stood there in comfortable silence as they stared down at Hogwarts.

"You know, we should stop," Cassie spoke, this time her voice was softer. "Stop whatever this is,"

"We should," Harry responded, his voice as soft as hers.

Harry turned to Cassie. "But why? Why is this so bad?"

Cassie turned to look at Harry too as her grey eyes met his green ones. "I don't know, Harry,"

He paused. She called him Harry. Cassie seemed to realize this too as she quickly spoke up again. "I meant Potter,"

Harry chuckled bitterly, shaking his head.

"You know we're never gonna be friends," Cassie spoke, more strongly this time.

Harry looked at her. "You know what, fine. If that's how it is, then so be it,"

"From now on, we're never talking to each other again, we won't even look at each other," Cassie continued and Harry just listened. "This was all a mistake, I'm done, you can be on your own for the third task-"

"Hey, I never asked for your help remember?" Harry retorted, his voice, strong. "In fact, you were the one who literally threw yourself at me. I have all the help I need, I don't need any of this,"

This time it was Cassie who was silent. The two stared at each other again before Cassie spoke up again. "Fine,"

"Why are you mad? I'm the one who's supposed to be-"

"Oh, of course, you are, chosen one and all that, isn't that right?" Cassie retorted sarcastically. "You're Harry Potter, and I'm evil little Malfoy-"

"I never said that-"

"You know what, forget it," Cassie turned away as she headed for the stairs before stopping at the edge. "This. This is all done. I never want to see your face again,"

Before Harry could say anything, Cassie was gone. He stood there in silence. Why did this feel like a breakup when they were never even together? They weren't even friends for goodness skae. He never should have come up here.
