Harry was panicking. The second task was two days away and he did not have a single clue as to how he was going to survive underwater. Ron and Hermione had forgotten about the Cassie Malfoy incident long ago and they were trying their best to help Harry figure it out. Harry had thought about reaching out to Cassie multiple times but he backed away from the thought. He reminded himself that it was Cassie who wanted to help him, he did not need her help. In fact, he had plenty of help around him, plus, didn't she say they would return to being strangers? Enemies, even.

"Harry, we've been reading all day, I think we should at least head to dinner," Hermione said tiredly.

"Come on, mate. Even she's tired of reading," Ron muttered, slumping down in his chair. "I'm bloody hungry,"

"You guys go on," Harry spoke, looking up from his book. "I'm not hungry,"

Hermione looked at Harry with a worried expression. "Harry-"

Harry cut off Hermione before she could speak and gave her a reassuring smile. "Mione, I'll be okay, you and Ron should go. Maybe, I'll come later?"

Once Hermione and Ron had disappeared out of the library, the smile on Harry's face quickly dropped as he slumped back into his chair, letting out a tired sigh. Why did the universe hate him so much? He didn't wish for any of this to happen. He didn't wish to be the boy who lived. He didn't wish to get chosen for this stupid death tournament. Harry was too busy cursing the universe he didn't notice another figure sitting down in the seat Ron sat in.

"What are you doing here?" Harry furrowed his eyebrows once he realized Cassie was sitting right beside him.

"What are you doing here?" Cassie raised an eyebrow as if to challenge Harry.

"I asked first- You know what, whatever just go away or something," Harry grunted. "Shouldn't you be at dinner with your Slytherin friends?"

She smirked at him before muttering quietly. "Well, someone's on their period today,"

Harry gave her a sideways glare. "I heard that,"

"Anyway, I came to help,"

"I don't need it,"

"I'm doing it anyway,"

Ignoring Harry, Cassie grabbed a book of her own and began reading. Harry examined her closely. The way strands of her dark brown hair fell over her shoulders, the way her eyes seemed so captivating, the way her lips mouthed the words she was reading. Harry shook the thoughts out of his head. This was wrong. This was so wrong.

"Well, are you gonna read or are you just gonna stare?" Cassie rolled her eyes, snapping Harry back to reality.

"Right," He muttered, looking back down at his book. Harry thought for a moment before turning to Cassie again. "Uh, Cassie? Sorry, I meant Malfoy,"

Cassie looked up, her gray eyes met his green ones. "Is there a problem?"

Harry blinked as he paused. "I- Uh, no. No, it's nothing,"

Cassie gave Harry an odd look, muttering. "You're really weird today. You sure you're not ill or something?"

Before Harry could respond, Moody and Neville both appeared on different sides of the aisle Harry and Cassie were seated in.

"There you are," Moody said before his eyes turned to Cassie. "What are you doing here?"

"Reading?" Cassie sassed as she held up her book for Moody to see.

Moody looked at her suspiciously before turning to Neville. "Longbottom,"

"Yes, sir?" Neville's small voice squeaked.
